Behind The Blog… featuring Faiza from BeYOUtiful

Happy Thursday Chums..

Oooh it’s been one heck of a busy week here at Confetti & Curves HQ as re-decorating the boudoir’s is now in full swing. Today I’m off to explore the vastness of our local Ikea store – hoping to return home with a bedside table, bed covers, a lamp and possible a few little trinkets to store my ever growing makeup collection in. It’s a hard life this beauty blogging 😉

Talking of blogging I have a gorgeous blog buddy to introduce y’all to today, it’s the lovely Faiza from BeYOUtiful. As I’m sure you’ve guessed it’s a haven for all things fabulous – so if you’d like to add another sprinkling of fashion, beauty & the occasional lifestyle post to your reading material then pop over to check out her fun filled corner of the interweb & hit that follow button.

However before you go anywhere it’s time to get the kettle on & settle down in your comfiest chair as we find out a little bit more about the girl Behind The Blog…

In only 5 words describe what readers can expect from your blog:

Fabulous fashion and makeup fun!

What inspired you to start blogging?

Honestly, it was a way for me to get ‘someone’ to listen! Everybody around me (though they love me!) were so sick of listening to me ramble on and on about the latest product or fashion trend. I decided to ‘talk’ to the computer about it….and later, I had a community I could chatter with!

Tell us about your blog name… what made you decide on it?

It’s simple – there is only one way to be beautiful….beYOUtiful. After all, there is only one YOU.

Do you ever suffer from Blogger’s Block & if so how do you overcome it?

I’m a fairly new blogger so I haven’t come across this just yet. I feel like there aren’t enough hours in the day to blog about everything I want to blog about!

What’s your favourite post to date?

It has to be my Bold Lips post –

It’s funny how one of my least popular posts is my favourite….!

Describe your everyday clothes style:

Gosh this is difficult! I don’t have an ‘everyday clothes style’! I put on what I’m ‘feeling’ that day! Some days, it’s boho chic, others it’s chilled out in denim.

What are your current top 3 beauty items?

Bourjois CC Cream – great coverage and looks beautiful on the skin

Mary-Lou Manizer – because who doesn’t love a glow

Rimmel Nude eyeliner – stays put and gives you that wide-awake look

How do you like to relax & unwind after a stressful day?

Cup of tea and hubby time

Describe your ideal Saturday night:

Well in the UAE, the work week is Sunday to Thursday, so my ideal Saturday night is bed by half 9!

What do you do to relax?

Lay on the sofa and read fashion magazines

Everyone has their bad habits, what’s yours?

Picking the gelish manicure off my nails

What’s your most cherished childhood memory?

Picnics in the park with my family

What was your favourite school subject?

Creative writing

What’s your dream job?

This is a tough one! I think it would be writing for a top fashion magazine

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

You know, I’m not a planner – I can’t decide where I see myself in 5 years. It’s like I’m worried to hope for something just in case it doesn’t happen….silly, I know.

What top 5 things are on your bucket list?

Attend London Fashion Week

Stitch clothes I can wear

Front row in a Beyonce concert

Travel all over Italy

What’s your biggest achievement to date?

My children!

Who inspires you?

My beautiful husband – who never gives up and always goes for what he wants!

Do you have a favourite inspirational quote?

“Happiness is found when you stop comparing yourself to other people” – amongst many others….!

What top tips would you give to someone who is thinking of starting their own blog?

Go for it! What you need is a passion for something. If you truly love what you write about, the love comes through in your posts.

Tea or Coffee = Tea

Coke or Pepsi = neither…yuck!

Messy mayhem or Super Organised = Messy mayhem

Cute kitten or Playful puppy = playful puppy

Night In or Night Out = IN!

    • Yes, I like the boho chic too Katie 😀 Oohh it was a bit of a nightmare with lots of screaming kids *rolls eyes* but I got everything I needed and for a fraction of the price!!! A huge bookcase for £17, it’s a beautiful white one so looks really chic 😉 You have to get along to one – just be sure to save a few cents before hand as you’ll have such an urge to spend them lol xxxxx

I added her and I can’t wait to read her posts.

I never been to Ikea, even though we have a huge store, but it’s about an hour+ from where I live and we never seem to go that way 😀 Hope you’ll find some great buys ❤
