The Nail File: Nail Art Inspiration…

The Nail File

Aloha Chums!

Regardless of recent health drama’s, I’ve managed to relax a little by taking a few pics of some fun nail art I’ve been getting up to. With a ton of glitters and gorgeous gel polishes to play with here’s just a few of the designs that I’ve managed to capture this week…

Sea Shore Green

Mermaid Nail Art

Living a stones throw away from the sea it’s something I tend to draw inspiration from in all weathers as the landscape changes so drastically from day to day! I noticed it was a vibrant green colour one day last week, with the sun rays illuminating the colours as I watched sea green waves gently lap onto the shore… which gave me a notion to try out this design! Very beachy, don’t you think?!

.

Dusky Dew Drops

Chunky Glitter Nail Art

This was a really simple design incorporating a light marbled effect with gel polish and some gorgeous shiny blue chunky glitter encapsulated under the top gel coat. It was inspired by a recent summer rain shower where the water droplets were making some really playful light effects across our kitchen wall from the sunshine.

.

Disney Pattern

Disney Nail Art

I spotted this playful idea on Pinterest and thought I’d give it a go on a short accent nail. It’s super cute and reminds me of recently finding some piccies from a family holiday in Disneyland Paris when I was much younger!

.

Tribal Design

Tribal Nail Art

I love creating hand painted tribal patterns and thought I would give it a go on a matte gel nail. It reminds me of a cute Turkish vase I found in a charity shop recently that’s decorated in cute little dots of all different sizes!

.

Baby Boomer Glitter Gradiant

Baby Boomer Glitter Nail

I adore classic pink and white nails, but this has got to be one of my favourites. It’s a gorgeous french pink & white acrylic gradient with a teeny layer of micro sparkle to give it a beautiful iridescent sheen. What a gorgeous combo for a bridal set don’t you think?

What one’s your favourite design? Do you have any fun suggestions for me to try out next? Whatever your thought’s I’d love to read them in the comments below so do stop by to say a quick howdy lovelies:)

A Sneak Peek At ‘Liquid Glamour’s’ Glitter Nail Art…

Glitter Nail Art

It’s been frustration city here at Confetti & Curves HQ this week chums, as my camera’s HD card is officially MIA = no YouTube upload this today! I know, I know, I’m devastated as I’m so blooming picky about being regimental with my scheduling, but it is what it is and unfortunately I can’t conjure another video out of mid air so soon. Soooo the plan is to reschedule to Friday. However not all is doom & gloom as I’ve picked up a replacement card already and have my cam fully charged to roll! Bring on the filming *happy sigh*

However this means I’ve a little free blog spot today to show you guys a few of my recent nail art designs… particularly as some of you have been eagerly requesting to see what designs I’ve been creating!! Thankfully it’s all going as well as can be and I’m just so blooming chuffed to be able to create some gorgeous acrylic extensions from my stash of new nail goodies. Don’t forget to pop over & hit the LIKE button on the LIQUID GLAMOUR Facebook page where you’ll be able to keep up with all my latest nail shenanigans. In the mean time here’s a quick peek at what creations I’ve been getting up to over the last few days…

Liquid Glamour Glitzy Leopard Print Nail

I’m loving this fun and funky animal print over encapsulated gold glitter! Perfect for an accent nail don’t you think?

.

Liquid Glamour

Keeping it really simple and chic in this one as I combine stamping & freehand to create a sweet butterfly & floral design over one of my favourite gel polish colours, Cake Pop. How cute is that name?!

.

Liquid Glamour Raspberry & Purple Glitter

This is a fun and funky mix of raspberry, purple and green iridescent glitter has a real fizzy playfulness to it!

.

Liquid Glamour Galaxy Nail

I created this Galaxy nail using a mix of cosmic coloured glitters and acrylic paint to give a ‘milky way’ effect. Perfect for any sci-fi fan 😀

.

Liquid Glamour Glitzy Pewter

Lastly this classic encapsulate rose-gold stiletto nail has got to be one of my favourites this week. It’s simple yet adds a sassy accent and goes incredibly well with pinks, nudes and soft earthy colours to jazz things up a little.

The Makeup Menu: Pink Ice…

The Makeup Menu Pink Ice 2

Hey Beauty Buddies,

I’ve been rekindling my love affair with some of my staples this weekend, as being on a bit of a makeup spending ban is really encouraging me to use up a few goodies that’s been lying dormant around my makeup drawers. As much as I adore shopping for new cosmetics there comes a time when you realise some of the older stuff you have reeeeeally needs used up before moving onto introducing newbies. So to help me get acquainted with some of my old favourites (including items I haven’t used in what feels like yeeears) I opted to base my look around the Avon’s Duo True Colour Eyeshadow Compact in Pink Ice. Here’s a peek at what pocket friendly items I used to create my summery weekend look….

.

.

THE FINAL RESULT:

Pink Ice Collage

What do you think gals? Personally I’m swaying towards the tones of the shadow being more lilac than Pink Ice, needless to say it’s actually pretty okay and I’m really glad I didn’t ditch it as intended. In fact if the colour pay off is anything to go by I’d certainly be tempted to have a peek at some of Avon’s other duo shadow compact!

pink heart

What’s your verdict? Are you a fan of pink eye shadow? What’s your favourite summer colour to dress up your lids with? Whatever your thoughts I’d love to read them in the comments below so do stop by for a quick chatter!  Wishing y’all a fabulous week ahead 🙂

The Manicure Menu: Lush Lilacs…

Lilac Nail Polish Collection

If there’s one colour I always feel drawn to when shopping for nail polish, it’s lilac. Okay, so some often see it as a bit wishy-washy but in my opinion it’s beeeeautiful. Girly but not tooooo girly, soft enough to go with most outfits, a great everyday colour, works in summer, works in winter… particularly in some of the gorgeous icy shades *swoon*

So to pay homage to such a versatile shade, I’ve showcased some of my very own luscious lilacs and prettiest purples! Sitting comfy? Then let’s take a closer peek at today’s mani menu…

.

Barry M Chameleon Nail Polish in Lilac

Barry M Chameleon Lilac Nail Polish

A gorgeous icy- grey is what this can only be described as. It really is a stunning multi-tonal shade that has to be seen in real-life to be fully appreciated! I quite often wear these colours in winter as they’re just so fresh and crisp, however these cool tones are equally beautiful for summer months and go with so many outfit colours too! Ideal for those who love metallics but prefer just a slight whisper of lilac. For extra longevity coat nails with a layer of micro sparkle polish… it’ll help lift the icy tone, bring out the metallics and keep your colour as long-lasting as possible!

.

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine in Prickly Pear

Barry M Gelly Shine in Prickly Pear

For me this is the classic ‘lavender’ tone. It’s so darn pretty, and surprisingly beautiful on soft tanned tootsies – if anything it makes the tan stand out just a little bit more. A classic holiday shade, this is one shade of lilac I never get tired of wear. The formula of the Gelly Shine could be a little thicker in my opinion as it can be quite streaky unless several coats are applied, however if worn correctly & with a high quality top-coat this can look amazing. I love it ❤

.

Rimmel London 60 Second Super Shine in Lovey dovey

Rimmel London 60 Second Shine in Lovely Dovey

I love, love, LOVE this colour. Rimmel always seem to get their shades bang on trend, and how cute is the name?! A classic soft berry shade this beautiful polish can actually look quite deep compared to the bottle. For me this is the perfect playful purple shade for summery themed nails. It’s bright and beautiful – a treat to wear all year round in fact. Check out the huuuuge range of colours on the Rimmel London website in the link below!

.

Avon Nail Wear Pro

Avon Nail Wear Pro

This colour always reminds me of Parma Violets, do you remember those strange little sweeties that taste suspiciously like wild flowers? Natually it smells nothing like them but as for the nail colour it’s a stunner. Soft grey undertones make it such a great colour for everyone. It’s not too girly, yet still eludes a touch of sweet femininity. Is there any colour this shade wouldn’t work with right now? Okay, so the formula could be a little longer lasting considering it’s branded as a ‘pro’ product, however with a great top coat it’s pretty resilient up to about 4/5 days before any wear or tear starts showing. Pretty standard, but the tone wins me over every time 🙂

New York Color In A Minute Nail Polish in Prince Street

NYC Quick Dry Nail Polish in Prince Street

Okay, so it’s not (exactly) lilac… but…. never-the-less it’s SUCH a gorgeous shade of purple that’s perfect for a night on the town, a rich sassy colour for summer or deep dressy tone for winter. All in all it’s the ideal purple, and if truth be told one of the most popular shades I ever sold in bridesmaid dresses when I owned my bridal suites. But then, who could resist such an amazing shade? It’s a collection staple for sure as not only does it work well with bright coloured outfits, it also works incredibly well with neutral colours too. A pop of Prince Street & a pair of nude peep-toe stilettos = utterly stunning gals ❤

GlowDry Mini LED Nail Lamp from Vanity Planet…

Vanity Planet LED Gel Nail Lamp Review

Whatever you’re doing stop. You NEED to check out this little cutie by Vanity Planet, it’s the Glow Dry LED gel manicure nail dryer. Isn’t it just the cutest little thing? I’ve been on the hunt for a portable LED lamp for quite a while now, particularly as I’m stepping up my nail game. What handier little device to help on the move than something as neat, nifty and portable as this? Let’s take a closer peek…

.

vp1

Vanity Planet LED Glowdry Nail Lamp

Contents include: A mini 6 Watt lamp, with it’s adorable heart shaped timer button that allows you to pre-set either 45 seconds or 60 second intervals so you don’t lose track of time – particularly useful if you chatter as much as I do! There’s the neat little two pin adapter – UK residents, no need to stress as the solution for using it in UK sockets is right down below. Finally the Instruction manual & a great money saving coupon entitling you to 50% off your next purchase!

Sounds a treat? Well that’s cause it is. However for those of you (like myself) who rely on a three pin plug (as opposed to a two) you’ll need to invest in your own wall adapter which you can pick up in most stores for about £2.50. These are super value for money & also useful should any visitors need to use it… or if I’m sent any future foreign goodies to sample 😉 Check it out, it’s great value & really handy!

Cures Gel polish in as little as 45 seconds

Up to 50’000 hours of performance thanks to the energy efficient bulbs

6 Watts of LED Power

Automatic shut-off

Preset 45 or 60 second intervals

Compact design for easy-peasy travel solutions if you’re on the go!

.

vp3

Okay so it might initially seem a little pricey at bang-on $100, but considering the usage hours you’re getting for the price it would easily last one person a lifetime of gels! As the lamp is quite compact you can’t fit your entire hand in at once, however that’s easily overcome by curing both thumbs first then moving onto the fingers! Do keep in mind that it only works with LED compatible gels, however considering that LED lamps are the way forward you’ll not have any issues finding a great selection of gels to treat yourself too!

.

vp4

Vanity Planet LED Nail Lamp Review

Can the Glow Dry lamp be used with ordinary polish?

No. LED lamps can’t cure your ordinary polishes as they don’t have the accelerated LED drying properties required, so keep to gels only!

How long should I cure my nails for?

The lamp has two timers, 45 seconds & 60 seconds. If after 45 your nails aren’t cured then opt for the 60 seconds instead.

Can I touch my nails straight after using the Glow Dry lamp?

Yes! It cures your nails on the spot so you don’t have to worry about any nasty smudges *woo hoo*

Can it be used on Toe nails?

Although it’s primarily used on fingers there’s no reason why you can’t use it on your toe nails either!

Do I need to wear fingerless SPF gloves?

Although fingerless SPF gloves aren’t essential, it certainly reduces the risk of LED light radiation. Although this isn’t enough to harm you in one interval, if you use any LED lamp over a period of time taking precautions is always advised. Alternatively you could apply a small amount of SPF to your fingers to help protect exposed skin.

.

vp5

Vanity Planet LED Lamp Review

Fancy treating yourself to a GlowDry Lamp of your very own? Then get yourself over to Vanity Planet where you can also find a whole host of other handy goodies to feast your eyes upon! It gets glowing reviews from a whole host of customers (excuse the cheesy pun!)

.

Do you ever suffer from Blogger’s Block & if so how do you overcome it?

Yes absolutely, It happens all the time. think it’s important to put out content that you believe in. Never put out anything because you have to or you’re under pressure to do so. I look to people, nature, magazines, websites, for inspiration always.

.

What’s your favourite post to date?

I enjoyed writing for all my travel posts, but the one that stands out for me has to be the Bicester Village one.

.

I’d say my style is feminine and fun. I love colour and fabrics and love to mix and match. I love wearing long flowy dresses, with accessories..  a little bohemian touch.

.

What do you do to relax?

As before, catching up on tv shows and reading is a great relaxation for me. I watch many re-runs of the cheesiest tv shows, such a guilty pleasure!

.

Everyone has their bad habits, what’s yours?

In terms of beauty, I hoard a lot of makeup. I don’t wait till it’s finished and will end up buying more. So that’s a habit that I’m trying my best to change now.

I love this quote by Rumi which is so uplifting ” Where there is ruin, there is hope for a treasure”.

If there’s one thing that I have learnt, it is to be patient. A lot of people give up early. It takes time and effort for results to show. So keep working on good content and success will follow surely.

Okay, enough from me! Get yourself comfy and grab a cuppa as we take a peek Behind The Blog

pink heart

In only 5 words describe what readers can expect from your blog:

(Gosh, this is hard!) Beauty, lifestyle and blogging tips. (Darn it, I was hoping to be a bit more creative than that…)

.

What inspired you to start blogging?

Probably my friend Asha from Miss Asha Blog… when she showed me her blog I instantly wanted to start one and after a bit of fiddling around with WordPress, my blog was born. I also loved watching YouTube, and since I’m not really a natural in front of the camera, blogging was my next best option.

 .

Tell us about your blog name… what made you decide on it?

I talked about this in a post once so I’ll just summarise it. When I was about 6 or 7 I went to my best friend’s house so we could watch this Barbie movie. I think it was called Barbie Princess Charm School. After watching it, my friend and I tried to balance a book on our heads like the princesses in the movie. I was horrible. But my friend (being the epic person she was) told me that I was her princess anyways, and for some reason the event stuck to me and I loved the sound of ‘Nearly A Princess’ so I made that my all around anonymous Internet handle.

.

Do you ever suffer from Blogger’s Block & if so how do you overcome it?

I actually don’t! Am I weird? (I also never wet my toothbrush before brushing my teeth which is another way people can’t trust me.) I find that it’s best to have huge brainstorming sessions and always keep a notebook with you to write ideas down in.

.

What’s your favourite post to date? *please include link*

This is hard to answer. My favourite post to ever publish would have been my post announcing that I was writing an album (https://nearlyaprincess.wordpress.com/2016/02/07/want-to-help-me-write-an-album/), because, you know, it was a pretty big deal for me! But my favourite post that was a legit post (content wise, not announcements) is probably one of my posts 50 Open Ended Words To Give You Ideas (https://nearlyaprincess.wordpress.com/2016/01/17/50-open-ended-words-for-ideas/). I got a lot of traffic on it and everyone seemed to really enjoy it!

.

Describe your everyday clothes style:

I tend to just wear really simplistic things like striped shirts and denim jeans, but I guess you could describe it as an urban girl look. I love to dress up and stuff, but for me I just love boots and t-shirts so urban is my main style.

.

What are your current top 3 beauty items?

I’m currently loving:

Rimmel London Liquid Mousse Foundation

Numtrimetics Apple Fresh Toner

NIVEA Soft Refreshingly Soft Moisturising Cream

.

How do you like to relax & unwind after a stressful day?

Check up on all of my notifications and leave some comments of other blogs. Then I repeat. The listen to music. Then I repeat. Can you tell that my iPad is my baby?

.

Describe your ideal Saturday night:

On Saturdays I go from Saturday sport (generally 8:30-9:30 am) to Saturday School (10am-12pm) and then to my triple threat class (1pm-4:30pm) and then I catch the train to Starbucks for a bit before heading home and making it home by about 5:30pm. Obviously that’s a big day (for me anyways) so I always just plonk myself in front of the TV with some warm milk and honey and binge watch all the shows I recorded throughout the day. I always sleep very well that night!

.

What do you do to relax?

Sometimes I stop by at a café that sells really nice Blue Heaven Milkshakes and then go window shopping along my favourite outlet street. Other times I just write blog posts on my iPad and watch a bunch of TV. It changes!

.

Everyone has their bad habits, what’s yours?

I know this is so unoriginal it’s not funny (I love being original, even in circumstances like this, my dad says I’m on the road to becoming a hipster, haha), but I am a HUGE procrastinator. Just now I’m crying in my own head because I didn’t do my Humanities homework and my teacher is going to kill me. Yay.

.

What’s your most cherished childhood memory?

Oh goodness, how do I answer this? I guess my main childhood memory (I think it’s my earliest memory, to be honest) would be meeting my little brother for the first time when he was born. I was three at the time, and all I remember was holding him for the first time and Mum buying me lots of white Lindt Chocolate, which sparked my love of that particular kind.

.

What was your favourite school subject?

I’m actually still in school, and my favourite subject is probably either Design or RE. I score really high in all of those subjects and I have some really great teachers. To be honest, having good teachers makes all the difference.

.

What’s your dream job?

I’d love to continue as a blogger, as I love doing something I’m good at (writing!) and I’ve met some amazing people. As my hobbies have faded in and out, I’ve never gotten sick of blogging and it definitely NEVER feels like work.

.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I don’t really know how to answer this question. I’ll be eighteen, so I would still be in high school and I’d just be studying for my IB exams (my dad is making me do IB, so doing the state exams, VCE, is out of the question). I guess I just can see myself working as hard as I can in every subject and getting some good marks. After that, I just want to do something that makes me happy… and of course, if I’m still blogging that would be awesome!

.

What top 5 things are on your bucket list?

I have a bucket list with 50 things on it (I’ve currently completed seven… I think) so I’ll just pick my favourites. I really want to watch Dan and Phil live on their tour should they come to Australia, go to at least one live concert with Brendon Urie in it, one day become a backing dancer for a live concert (preferably with Brendon Urie in it, who are kidding here), go to GoodLife (can you tell I LOVE live performances?!) and to finish writing my album (and possibly write more in the future).

.

What’s your biggest achievement to date?

Probably when I got accepted into something I really wanted to get into and was incredibly hard to do so. I was really nervous and was pretty sure I wasn’t going to make it but I did!

.

Who inspires you?

Probably Melanie Martinez and Halsey. I know that the stuff they sing about isn’t exactly something to aspire to (dying children and drugs… hmmm…) but I just love how they are so confident in what they are and how they want to express themselves and it’s made them famous and successful musical artists. Melanie Martinez also was very resilient as even after she lost The Voice she continued to make her own music and still did an amazing job. It just shows that you don’t have to be labelled as ‘the best’ to be one of the best.

.

Do you have a favourite inspirational quote?

Oh, it changes all the time! I think the main one (at the moment) would probably be either an actual ‘quote’- ‘be sure to taste your words before you spit them out’ by who knows what- or some song lyrics. The lyrics aren’t ‘inspirational’ as such, but more just cool and fun- ‘we could be immortals, but not for long’ or ‘you can set yourself on fire but you’re never gonna burn’- by Fall Out Boy and Panic! At The Disco respectively.

.

What top tips would you give to someone who is thinking of starting their own blog?

  • Start on WordPress.org! Seriously. I started on WordPress.com instead of WordPress.org and I kick myself for doing so, and now I can’t really move to WordPress.org, even though I really want to. If you start with WordPress.com, sure it’s free, but you are virtually owned by WordPress unless you pay the ‘oh so small’ fee of $130 a year. At least. If you gain a large fanbase on WordPress.com, then want to move to WordPress.org, it is so hard to direct all your followers over there and you lose a lot of readers. You cannot use any of your own custom designs, plug ins or any other form of personalization unless you either go to WordPress.org or pay the fee on WordPress.com (and even then, the options on paid WordPress.com is limited). JUST DO IT FOR THE SAKE OF EVERYTHING BEAUTIFUL! XD
  • Find other blogs in your niche and reach out, whether you just comment regularly or do a collaboration etc. People are more likely to find your blog this way- no-one’s just going to ‘come and find you’. Soz.

What inspired you to start blogging?

I started watching beauty YouTube videos a long time ago and I have always wanted to do something like that, but never had the confidence to start making videos. So I decided to create a blog instead and instantly loved it.

 .

Tell us about your blog name… what made you decide on it?

Well, my actual blog address is ‘chloemartinn’ but I decided to keep it and give my blog a little nickname instead, which is ‘CNMbeauty’. I kept ‘chloemartinn’ as my address because that is my username on social media like Instagram and Twitter, so it just makes things easier.

.

Do you ever suffer from Blogger’s Block & if so how do you overcome it?

Yes, I did suffer from it a couple of weeks ago but I keep a little list on my phone of potential posts I could do, so they always gets me back into it. Also, I always find that going on Instagram helps to motivate me and give me new ideas.

My Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/chloemartiinn/

.

What’s your favourite post to date?

Most probably the post about ‘Hair-do and don’ts – Collab with Madison Reed’. This is because it was the first ever collab I did on my blog and it was so exciting!

.

Describe your everyday clothes style:

I love my Black Topshop Joni Jeans, so if you ever see me then I’ll probably be wearing those. Also, I like to switch up my shoes, from high boots to flats. I think my everyday clothes style would be simple, comfy but with a splash of colour!

.

What are your current top 3 beauty items?

.

What’s your most cherished childhood memory?

This is a hard one… but it probably has to be when my family got our first dog, which we still have! And we have another dog now too, oh and two cats!

.

Well, I am still in Sixth Form so I’ll tell you my favourite subject from GCSE and then my favourite from A-Levels. My favourite GCSE subject was either business or music, and for A-Levels I think it is English Language.

I never know how to answer this question because I honestly don’t know. I’m not sure if I want to go to University yet or just start to get a job somewhere. It’s a tricky one!

When I was in year 11 I achieved my Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award, I wish I did silver and Gold but it is a lot to cope with, along with GCSE’s and Sixth Form.

.

Who inspires you?

Lots of people inspire me, when I started Sixth Form I made sure to surround myself with people that inspire me and support me. But if we are talking about who inspires me to do my blog then it would be people like Tanya Burr, Inthefrow and Niomi Smart.

Tessa Bubbles and Macaroons

In only 5 words describe what readers can expect from your blog:

Readers can expect beauty looks, reviews, tips, inspiration and fun!

.

What inspired you to start blogging?

At first, my blog was a project in my journalism studies. I am now in my second year and the lecturers encouraged us to start an online project in any medium with the thing you love the most. I always loved writing and make-up and fashion is my biggest passion. I took some beauty classes a couple of years ago, which explains my knowledge. Now, my blog has grown out to be my own place. Blogging really relaxes me, and I can write about the things I love the most.  I am inspired to work more everyday so it turns out into a professional blog!

.

Tell us about your blog name… what made you decide on it?

Bubbles and macaroons, yes it looks a bit random, which it was at the time I created my blog! My blogname was literally something that popped into my head at the moment I was building my site. I just decided to roll with it. The only thing I knew was that I wanted something that featured two things so the “and” factor was a necessity. It also had to be English. I am actually a Belgian, so I speak Dutch in everyday life! I love to blog in English because it allows me more, and my network can be bigger than just Belgians and Dutchies. Right now, I actually like my name, ha ha!

.

Do you ever suffer from Blogger’s Block & if so how do you overcome it?

I am lucky to have never experience Blogger’s Block before. I had writer’s block before (as a journalism student) but I never had it on my blog! I see a lot of things around me and then I think: “that should be a good post.” Tips for posts I use are looking into the seasons. What events are happening right now? What does the season require? Usually something pops up then. Another way to overcome it is to read magazines like Elle or Vogue, or watch some YouTube videos. Pinterest helps as well.

.

What’s your favourite post to date?

That’s a really hard question! I had fun creating every single post that is up on my blog right now, so it is hard to choose. I guess I’ll have to go with my carnival make-up post. There were no borders creating the look since it was carnival. Creativity was the main focus in that post! You can check it out here: https://tessadewolf.wordpress.com/2016/02/12/my-carnival-make-up/

.

Describe your everyday clothes style:

I would have to go with preppy college student. I love this style so much and when in store, I tend to reach for preppy clothing the most. I have other things as well, but mostly this style. It makes me feel confident, classy and successful. And you know what they say: a well-dressed woman is a successful woman! Oh well, everything can help, right?

.

What are your current top 3 beauty items?

My absolute number one is the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. I take it with me to the student house, on holidays, friends,… I love the shades and you can use the palette for any occasion! Number 2 would have to be the Yves Saint Laurent Touche éclat foundation. It is such a healthy looking foundation and it looks so natural. I use the smallest pump possible and distribute it all over my face to freshen up my complexion. Number 3 is the Maybelline Brow Drama brow gel. I cannot go without filling in my eyebrows and with this product you are ready in 10 seconds! The product lasts forever as well.

.

How do you like to relax & unwind after a stressful day?

I like to take a long hot shower and then watch some Netflix in bed. Netflix is essential in my life!

.

Describe your ideal Saturday night:

Since I go out with my friends on Friday night, Saturday is usually a stay-in evening. I study late, because I am a perfectionist, and after that, my parents and I go out for some delicious food and watching tv together, while my dearest friend Sammie (the cat) sleeps in between us.

.

What do you do to relax?

Same thing as I said above, Netflix is my life guys, it literally is. Ha ha! Who’s with me?

.

Everyone has their bad habits, what’s yours?

I have the bad habit of staying up wayyyy too late and then waking up wayyyy too late in the morning. I just can’t get myself in bed before 11:30. In the morning it is same but the other way around. I just sleep too long. My rhythm is just totally confused! (Let’s blame it on the student life). I tend to make any appointments I need to go to in the morning, so I have to wake up early, like I have to for morning classes at college.

.

What’s your most cherished childhood memory?

That’s a hard one, because I had a very nice childhood, so it is hard to pick just one. Maybe I pick the first time I went to Disneyland. I was about nine years old and we were already on a vacation in France where I made some friends, we played on the beach and had the best time. When my parents dropped the bomb that we were going to Disneyland, my summer couldn’t go wrong!

.

What was your favourite school subject?

I really liked history. At college I still have a lot of history, since journalists need to know what is happening and happened around the world. I love the stories and most of the times, I try to imagine what it was like to live in that specific period.

.

What’s your dream job?

I would love to be a successful journalist at a womens’ magazine like Vogue or Elle. Then I would be doing the things I love the most as a job! Writing, taking pictures and talking about beauty and fashion.

.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Ideal, I would have successful job and met the love of my life. More realistic, I hope to still work at a nice place and have my own apartment or something!

.

What top 5 things are on your bucket list?

Traveling, a lot!

Visit Thailand

Visit Dubai

Go to the ABC islands

A roadtrip through America

Start my own beauty and fashion magazine

.

What’s your biggest achievement to date?

I would have to go with passing my first year in journalism college without any retests. Here in Belgium, it is very common to have so, so I was very proud to pass without them!

.

Who inspires you?

I am much inspired by a lot of beautyguru’s on Youtube. They inspired me to start this blog as well!

.

Do you have a favourite inspirational quote?

I do not really have a favourite, mostly “positive and get things done”-quotes are my favourites!

.

What top tips would you give to someone who is thinking of starting their own blog?

Do not overthink. Just do what you like and see your blog as your own personal space where you can put your own thoughts. If somebody doesn’t like it, well then just click the close button. Your blog is your space in the first place, so you should be your number one fan and be proud of it. That’s my golden rule!

.

QUICK FIRE QUESTIONS:

Tea or Coffee = Coffee for the win!

Coke or Pepsi = Definitely Coke

Messy mayhem or Super Organised =Super organised

Cute kitten or Playful puppy = Cute kitten (crazy catloveralert!)

Night In or Night Out = Night out! You are just one time in young in your life, right?

Heels or Flats =Heels, because I am so short, haha

Lip Stick or Lip Gloss = Lipstick

Rock Chick or Pop Princess =Pop princess

Paperback or E-book = Paperback
