Keeping up with Karen…

Keeping Up With Karen

Happy Sunday Chums,

It’s been a funny old week, I seem to have something stirring in me… like I said in Monday’s post, I’m all about learning, and so with that in mind I’m super eager to get signed up for a few helpful master classes – specifically on extending my make-up skills! Sounds exciting right? Oddly enough my sister & I talked about trying something like this together back in 2015 but unfortunately never got round to actually doing something about it. This kind of got me thinking about how many of us have goals, dreams and ambitions but never make the time to follow them through or at the very least look into them? Are you itching to pursue something but just haven’t done anything about it yet? I’m pretty determined not to let any more opportunities pass me by, so I’m pretty certain I’ll be signed up for something fun to look forward too very soon. January can be such a dull month with many of us feeling a tad gloomy & deflated now the festivities are over. For me, it’s simply a matter of putting that extra effort into giving myself something to focus on, which will hopefully carry on the positive attitude of grabbing that fresh start by the horns! Well, that’s the plan anyway ladies 😀

However, for those of you (who like myself) are planning on spending a day drinking tea, blogging and indulging in the occassional YouTube binge, then here’s a quick recap of what’s been happening this week on Confetti & Curves. Don’t forget to link a post to your blog in the comments below if you’d like any of us to check out your fun features of the week…

Blogging Goals for 2016

Blogging Goals for 2016

As much as I hate new years resolutions, I’m determined to start 2016 with a list of important goals that I’m aiming to achieve over the next 12 months! For me, writing down what I’m working towards really helps keeps me topped up with enthusiasm so I can keep referring back to what progress I’ve made (or need to make) in order to accomplish my them! Have you any goals of your own this year?

  1. Great post as usual! I love your idea of learning new make-up skills! I wonder if there’s anything like that near me?

I started going to pole dancing classes this year and I really want to keep that up this year, it’s so much fun!

I also want to produce better blog content this year and for sine rain, my stats have doubled overnight! Time to keep it up x

    • Thanks so much indeed huni 🙂 I’m sooo looking forward to trying out new things – I was thinking about a part time college course but it just wouldn’t work with my schedule so masterclasses are a much better option for me! I’d be certain that there are things like that near you – usually it’s privately run classes so check out local MUA’s etc!
Pole dancing sounds fantastic fun, my sister actually starts her very first class on Friday and she cannot WAIT 😀
That is soooo wonderful about your blogging stats – keep up the awesome work, whatever you’re doing, you’re doing it right! There’s no better encouragement than knowing people are visiting your blog when the stats start to peek! You’re a superb blogger so there’s no surprise there at all 🙂 Have a super week ahead lovely XXXXXX

  2. You’re right, once you focus on something and you set a goal, you can do it. Sometimes we can set a goal, and then things get in the way, and then we don’t achieve what we wanted to. January is a dull month and I wish it were still the holiday time! Good things come to an end. That’s awesome you want to learn new makeup skills. No one can have enough skills when it comes to makeup! Happppy Sunday! Xoxox

    • Doesn’t it sound like lots of fun Yazzi? 😀 Oooh yoga seems to be super popular these days, maybe it’s something to look into for you! My sis is starting something called polercise on Friday, she can’t wait to get going!!! I reckon it’s the January blues has us all feeling a tad deflated and in need of something to look forward too 😀 Really looking forward to checking out that link, thanks for leaving it for me & of course for stopping by for a quick chatter – so lovely to get catching up with you!!! • Yeah, I used to do (beginner) yoga a couple of years ago, but I slowly drifted away because the class was about 30 mins away and started a 9am on a Sunday. ;-? Oh, and I’m always on your blog!! I browse mostly on my phone and the WordPress app is wonky sometimes and won’t let me “like” or comment without signing in… but it won’t let me sign in. It’s terrible!

      • Ahhh that sounds a bit mad – especially on a Sunday :-/ I’d be the same!! Awwh thank you so much Yazzi 🙂 I’m exactly the same as a huugge portion of my day (from 5am) is spent out of the house I’m totally reliant on my phone too and the App is dreadful!!! In a weird way I’m so glad I’m not the only one having these issues – mine keeps cutting off or goes to send the comment and then it never posts. So annoying! I usually just have to read with it now 😦 But hey at least we still keep up with each other even if we’re doing it on dodgy phone apps at the moment lol XXXXX
