Autumn Inspired Makeup: Purple Smoky Eyes…

There’s few words that can truly portray just how excited I get for the arrival of fall… it’s undoubtedly my favourite time of the year! The gorgeous rich colours of the landscape, crunchy brown leaves tumbling to the ground, warm cosy scarves, boots and of course – makeup up to match *happy sigh*

In this week’s video I showcase (one of) my favourite looks for fall… a purple smokey eye and dramatic rich berry lip. Those fabulous colours never fail to get me in the mood for a spiced pumpkin latte and gingerbread cookie – not to mention dusting off my fairy lights and seasonal candles.

So if beautiful berry tones coupled with moody mauves is your kinda thing too then sit back & hit the play button. My entire makeup look is a cocktail combination of super affordable drugstore finds, so it’s just as pretty on your pocket as it is on your face 😀

Using Cream Highlighter To Make Your Eye Shadow POP….

Howdy Chums,

As many of you regulars will already know, I’m an utter FIEND for anything remotely to do with eye makeup… and needless to say I’m forever on the lookout for new ways to glam up my lids! One little purchase I’ve been really impressed with recently is the Lumiere Cream Highlighter. At well under a fiver from a local drug store it was most definitely worth the investment – here’s why…

Firstly it works fabulously as a stunning rose-gold tinted highlighter to illuminate the cheek bones, turning you instantly into a bronzed goddess 😉 However, more surprisingly it works even better as a gorgeous lid illuminator to really make your eyeshadow pop – and pretty much any colour with that!!

Almost everytime I wear this look I get complimented on & asked what I’m wearing on my eyes, so it’s time to share one of my favourite looks of fall with you guys – and seriously, if you spot this little tube of sunshine in your local drug store I’d highly recommend you try it out. Unfortunately I don’t have any links to purchase it online but I have seen it about quite a few discount shops so keep your eyes peeled (excuse the pun) It may not be ‘high end’ but it’s definitely worth the low spend gals 😉 Alternatively, you could try your own favourite cream highlighter & see how it works.

Hope y’all enjoy today’s beauty chatter!

Huge Autumn Inspired BOOTS Beauty Haul…

Hola Chummies…

As my favourite time of year vastly approaches it’s no surprise that a haul is in order to celebrate it’s imminent arrival. And with the gorgeous colours of fall looming, my creative side works overdrive looking for fabulous new shades of cosmetics… along with a sprinkling of decent anti-frizz hair care to smooth my wavy locks from the damp & drizzle that Ireland so generously produces.

Needless to say, with a ton of points on my advantage card (and a list of products I’ve been lusting after) I’ve hauled myself right into fall with a bag full of new makeup and hair care goodies to help celebrate my favourite season on the calendar… autumn!

So grab your biggest cup of hot chocolate, put your feet up for a few minutes and check out some of the fall inspired makeup purchases I managed to grab from the shelves of my local Boots store! First Impressions: The L’Oreal Brow Artist Kit…

There’s absolutely no denying it – I’m a sucker for a decent eye product. So of course after spotting a recent TV commercial for the L’Oreal Brow Artist Kit, I took to the interwebs to sniff out a little more info. Needless to say I was hit with a full 5 Star rating on the Boots website out of 80 reviewers – that’s not too shabby I must say.

Naturally my interest peaked further and so with mucho excitement I trawled myself around a number of stores to find this much raved about little kit. Thankfully store number 3 had the very last one in my colour *happy sigh* – as you can imagine I almost skipped to the counter (well, hobbled in a happy way) to part with my cash and bring home my new brow baby.

So how did it stack up to the glowing reviews? Was it really worth the £9.99? I guess you’ll have to push play and find out ladies 😉 Talking of which, thank you sooooo very much to my new subscribers for stopping by – I’m over the moon you guys choose to hang around & watch my chatters. Don’t forget, if you haven’t done so already you can *Click Here* to subscribe so you never miss a future upload!

Hope you enjoy the first impressions gals, it was great to finally dust off the camcorder again and get filming after last week’s break!

Bundle Monster Lotus Mat…

As a Nail Technician, I’m all for anything that makes my life a little easier – particularly when it comes to hand painting teeny tiny intricate designs that’s just about visible to the naked eye, swatching colours and figuring out what stamping polishes or glitters go best on dark or light contrasting backgrounds. But what could possibly offer all these helpful design aids in one handy dandy roll up gadget?! Cue the Bundle Monster Lotus Mat.

Apart from looking as pretty as silicone could be (and saving my beloved nail station from endless colourful mishaps) the Lotus Mat Nail Art Workstation has literally become one of my most frequently used nail art necessities. Okay, so I could battle on through without it, but the handy little features this mat has to offer will undoubtedly give a helping hand to experienced nail pro’s or budding nail art enthusiasts. Either way if you adore creating, stamping, painting and swatching then check out today’s YouTube chatter as I showcase one of my most cherished nail tools to date!

Creating An Aquarium Nail…

What a melting few days of sunshine we’ve had here, and whilst everyone is lapping up the rays I’m cooped up in the shade with my pots of glitter & acrylic having a blast of a time creating some fun nail art. This week I thought I’d bring the camera along so you could check out my first attempt at creating an Aquarium nail, which is pretty much sprinkles of glitter encapsulated in a teeny well of acrylic.

As expected it was a little bit fidgety but none the less a fun little project for me to work on. Needless to say I’ll definitely be attempting it in the future but for now it’s onto some 3D art and the stamping plates 🙂

So if you fancy procrastinating for another 5 minutes or so, then get yourself comfy and check out how I created my first Aquarium nail! If you’ve any suggestions for some future project by all means leave them in the comments below and I’ll put them firmly onto my to-do list.

Wishing y’all a fabulous day ahead and hope you’re a enjoying the few extra sun rays! Don’t forget to lather on that extra SPF 😉

Howdy Chums…

It’s feels like ages since I’ve filmed a ‘Get Ready With Me’ style makeup video, so having woke up to a few cheery sun rays peeking through my bedroom blinds I was inspired to get the camera out and hit record when trying out a summery peachy look – which always works a treat on warming up my translucent Irish complexion!

Monthly Favourites & A Mini Ikea Haul….

Friday… Is that reeeeally you?!

What a fricken week. No seriously, I’ve had some whoppers in my time but this week pretty much takes the crown for being so utterly draining on the well being. Drama’s… yep, a whole week of drama’s. Needless to say the week kicked off with my SD card going AWOL… literally all my beloved pics & vids are gone & I’m gutted beyond words. After that episode it all pretty much went into a landslide thereafter. Thank heaven’s for hilarious hubby’s who know just what to say and do to make you burst into fits of laughter – Steve, you’re one in a million ❤ Really you are!

However good news, as today I’m finally getting the Cortisone injections (I’ve waited for sooo long) to help ease my pain! To say this is the highlight of my week really does sum up the past 7 days, eh? Steve, bless his cottons, is accompanying me this afternoon and of course staying with me so I don’t freak out too much. I’m sincerely hoping this isn’t as painful as what I imagine it to be but if it helps I’ll be utterly over the moon… keep all crossed for me gals!

So if you fancy a few minutes of procrastinating, why not grab yourself a cuppa and have a catch up with my monthly favourites, including a teeny tiny Ikea haul, that I’m actually rather chuffed with! For those that love neatness and organisation you’ll get me! 😀

Thanks for being such a supportive bunch, your comments and chatters over this past few days have really helped to keep me going so thank you folks – you certainly are an awesome bunch of blog buddies!
