Keeping Up With Karen

Howdy Chums…

How’s your weekend been? I’ve been cracking on with my to-do list and shockingly managed to finalise the nail room with the arrival of my workstation… I’m slightly gutted that my original desk area didn’t work out but Emma seems over the moon considering that it’s found a new home in her bedroom! Thanks to hubby it’s now looking like a fabulous little salon that’s perfect for what I need! I also managed to squeeze in a little bit of a cosmetic spree (thanks to some Boots gift vouchers my brother & sister treated me to for my birthday) so keep a look out for new reviews etc popping up very soon… I’ve some great budget finds to show you guys!

In other news I’m tackling my very first aquarium nail design today as well as testing out some new Moyou London stamping plates using their marshmallow stamper. Excited, is an understatement so keeping fingers crossed it all goes swimmingly *excuse the pun* 😀

What’s your plans for today? Are you doing anything exciting or simply spending a relaxing day at home? If you fancy catching up with this weeks shenanigans on Confetti & Curves then why not check out a few of the posts below…  as always, if you’ve a blog feature you’d like us to check out then feel free to leave the link in the comments too!

Keeping Up With Karen….

Keeping Up With Karen

Well heeeello chums…

What a fun weekend it’s turned out to be,m but firstly can I just give some credit to my hard-working hubby who tirelessly spent his Friday evening making our back garden look utterly faaaabliss by giving it a major clear out for summer. And I’m happy to report that Pedro, our super stylish Ikea parasol, is now pride of place along with my comfy little fold up chair… bring on the lazy summer afternoons with the kindle in hand!

As for today, well it’s all about the kiddies vs the (so called) grown ups as Emma’s little dance chum turns 11 AND Steve & I have also been cordially invited to battle it out on the bowling lanes to help celebrate! Needless to say I’ll probably be watching from the side lines thanks to aching bones, but hey someone has to referee right?! 😉

However for those of you who fancy catching up with a spot of blog reading today, then why not check out what fun shenanigans have been going on over the past week right here on Confetti & Curves! As always, you’re more than welcome to leave a link to any blog posts of your own that you’d like us to check out. Wishing y’all a great day ahead & wish us luck at the birthday bowling… with a posse of competitive 11 years old in tow I have a feeling we’ll certainly need it 😀

Behind The Blog featuring Claudia Marie…

Claudia Marie Fit

Hey Beauty Buddies…

Firstly, a huuuuge thank you to all who checked out yesterdays post Is It That Time Already?! Monthly Favourites. I’m still reeling at the fact that June has crept up on us so quickly, however I may be more shocked at the fact my YouTube subscriber list has grown instead of diminished after uploading yesterdays video(!!) If anything it’s certainly prompted me to up my game with summer make-up necessities, and with that in mind if you’ve any great recommendations for long lasting beauty goodies that bode well on these hot sunny days then do let me know in the comments below… heaven knows I need all the suggestions I can get right now gals 😀

However onto today’s post as I introduce y’all to the gorgeous Claudia from Claudia Marie Fit. I’m sure many of you are already familiar with this fresh-faced beauty as she regularly graces readers with glamorous make-up and lifestyle features. Can we also take moment just to congratulate her on losing a super impressive 60lbs!!! If you too could do with a dose of inspiration then why not *Click Here* check her recent feature where she talks all about her fantastic transformation into feeling more strong, confident & healthy about herself.

“Before I start answering Karen’s questions, I would like to take this moment to thank Karen so much for being such a kind and empowering woman and blogger. I am always so passionate when it comes to empowering women and that is why I immediately was drawn to Karen’s positive blog and connected with her. Thank you!” – Claudia.

(Ps: Thank YOU so much. What a fantastic compliment!!! *blushing*)

.

What inspired you to start blogging?

I have always been that person who loved seeing others being happy and smiling…that is truly when I am the happiest (I mentioned that in my ‘Happiness Tag’ here: https://claudiamariefit.com/2016/05/10/the-happiness-tag/ ). It may sound cheesy but that comes truly from my heart.

My family and friends always come to me for beauty and fitness advice and I love sharing my knowledge, tricks and tips. I love how I can now extend this to my blog ohana (=Hawaiian for family) and reach even more women.

Once I obtained my 60lbs weight loss mark and kept it off, I thought to myself that I would love to start a blog where I hopefully will be inspiring and motivating other women. I know first-hand how difficult it can be to start a new lifestyle and moreover, to stick to it. Combined with my passion for beauty and traveling I created claudiamariefit.com. which I am so happy I did.

.

Tell us about your blog name… what made you decide on it?

Uh that was a tough decision because all the names I was thinking of at first were already taken. So, I had to be creative and try different variations.

‘Claudia’ is my first name, so I definitely wanted to have that component in my name – simply because that is who I am!

‘Marie’ is my third middle name (I know I have a lot of names lol) but also my alter ego kind of name. I am typically a mix between introvert and extrovert but Marie stands for ‘get out there and achieve what you put your mind to.

‘Fit’ came to me as I changed my lifestyle to becoming more fit and healthy and my love for fitness and working out.

.

Do you ever suffer from Blogger’s Block & if so how do you overcome it?

I have only started 1.5 months ago with my blog and so far I have a lot of ideas but I am a perfectionist and want to make sure that I am satisfied with the quality of my post. That is why I deleted quite a few posts which were not up to my standard.

.

What’s your favourite post to date?

That is difficult as I put my heart into each one but…

The most heartfelt post must be the “How I lost 60lbs” post as I put myself out there and make myself very vulnerable https://claudiamariefit.com/2016/05/06/how-i-lost-60lbs-part-i-of-my-journey-to-healthy-strong-confident/.

My favourite post might be my very first one https://claudiamariefit.com/2016/03/24/aloha-and-welcome-to-my-blog/ because I remember all the emotions I had while writing and publishing it.

.

Describe your everyday clothes style:

I would say that I am a casual chic type of girl 🙂 However, I also love to wear sporty clothes as well as sexy dresses depending on where I go and in which mood I am. I don’t like to be put in one category as I decide every morning how I want to feel/look like…

.

What are your current top 3 beauty items?

TooFaced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer in Medium- Dark

I just recently came across dermarolling and I love the difference it makes in my skin; so probably my dermaroller

Make Up Forever Aqua Lip Liner in the color 1C – I love this color to line my lips and to make them look full and pouty but still keeping them very natural.

.

How do you like to relax & unwind after a stressful day?

I am a total beach person. If you can’t find me…chances are high,  that I am in the ocean. The ocean is my therapy and no matter what happened during the day, the ocean literally washes it off.

.

Describe your ideal Saturday night:

I used to love going out with my friends and party (when I was in my late teens, early twenties) but now I would say that my perfect Saturday evening would incorporate having a nice BBQ on the beach, listening to reggae music in a hammock and talking about life with good people.

.

What do you do to relax?

In my day to day life I try to breath – sounds easier than it is. I use different breathing techniques which totally relax and calm me and down. Deep breathing makes me more focused and present as well.

.

Everyone has their bad habits, what’s yours?

When I eat Nutella or cookies I can’t stop at one…the whole package or half of the pot is gone. I became much better since changing my lifestyle but Nutella is still my vice…and on bad days Nutella and a spoon has to be there to fix it J

.

What’s your most cherished childhood memory?

I am truly lucky and grateful because there are so many wonderful childhood memories that I have. But if I have to name only one, than it must be my summers in the South of France, where I spent the most amazing time with my aunties, uncles, cousins and friends. I remember the smell and taste of my uncles amazing paellas which made everyone come together and have a good time.

.

What was your favourite school subject?

Chemistry – I loved mixing substances and creating solutions. I still think that it is pretty fascinating and with one of my best friend having a PhD in Chemistry and working for a big makeup brand fostered that fascination even more.

.

What’s your dream job?

Being a Forensic Psychologist. That is what I have studied and I love it!

.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I am not too sure – I just hope that I am happy no matter what I am doing.

.

What top 5 things are on your bucket list?

Traveling – I would love to go to French Polynesia, Africa and Borneo

Giving back – that can be in different ways

Diving in Belize

Buying a house

Seeing Orang Utans in the wild (in Borneo)

.

What’s your biggest achievement to date?

I have obtained my degree in Psychology, I have lost 60lbs and I have made a difference in kids’ lives when working in an orphanage in Costa Rica.

.

Who inspires you?

My mother… she is such a positive person, and always sees the good side of everything.

.

Do you have a favourite inspirational quote?

I have two:

If you really want something (with all your heart), the whole universe conspires in helping you to achieve it – Paulo Coelho

.

What top tips would you give to someone who is thinking of starting their own blog?

If you have thought about it, than just do it. Sometimes we think too much and too long about things and even end up not doing it. Life is too short for not doing what you want.

Think about what you are truly passionate about and then start posting about it.

You may think that there are so many other bloggers out there who write about similar things but there is only one YOU out there and that will make the difference.

Behind The Blog featuring Simply Sorcha…

Simply Sorcha

If there is anything certain in the universe, it’s that Ireland is undoubtedly swarming with glowing pink bodies today (appearing semi-radioactive) from what can only be described as the mini heatwave which descended upon our bank holiday Monday. What a scorcher it was as back gardens & beaches were crammed with budding barbequers relishing in the sun rays, enjoying their burnt hot dogs & cider. I on the other hand was inching around the shade – wilting like an extra from Bram Stokers. Needless to say an Ikea parasol is the most life saving investment I’ve ever purchased, and if you’re pale skinned you’ll more than understand 😉 On a slightly different note, my new summer sandals arrived and they are THEE comfiest things I have EVER worn. Seriously, they really are! *happy sigh & happy feet* 😀

Ooh talking of happy, I’ve yet another cheery blog buddy to introduce y’all to today as the gorgeous Sorcha from Simply Sorcha joins us on the virtual sofa for a quick chatter about life behind the scenes of her ‘oh-so-chic’ beauty & lifestyle blog. With a love of cosmetics, a sprinkle of wanderlust, fun features and a talented flair for writing, Sorcha’s blog is certainly not one to miss out on so if you haven’t already check it out then get over pronto & check in 🙂

Sorcha

In only 5 words describe what readers can expect from your blog:

Lifestyle, beauty, honesty and fun!

.

What inspired you to start blogging?

As clichéd as it sounds, it was my love of writing. I used to write all the time, I previously had a travel blog and also wrote short stories. But lately I’ve just been writing for work, and not for myself, so in January of this year, I made the leap and began blogging again.

.

Tell us about your blog name… what made you decide on it?

Simply Sorcha, is ‘simply’ about me. My life, my loves, my interests, my experiences, my travels, and anything else happening in my life that I think people would like to read about. I deliberated for weeks trying to come up with a name that covered everything I wanted to write about, in the end it just made sense to name it after myself!

.

Do you ever suffer from Blogger’s Block & if so how do you overcome it?

Absolutely. It happens quite regularly and usually if I’m a bit stressed out. I second guess myself a lot and wonder if I’m just boring people, or whether my posts are even interesting. I’m sure most bloggers experience that every so often. But when I’m having days like that, I try just think about what I like to read in blog posts and go from there.

.

What’s your favourite post to date?

Ah… That has to be my wedding photography post, Wedding, Photos, Love. https://simplysorcha.com/2016/03/03/wedding-photos-love/

I got married last December so I shared this post when we received our photos from our photographer. It is my most-read post to date with over 2000 views, yay!

.

Describe your everyday clothes style:

Hmmm, casual chic maybe? My staple daily outfit usually consists of a jacket of some sort, a top or blouse, skinny jeans and ankle boots. But I do love glamming it up for a night out!

.

What are your current top 3 beauty items?

This changes all the time, but currently my favs are:

Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette

Charlotte Tilbury Retoucher Concealer Pen

MAC Lady Danger Lipstick

.

How do you like to relax & unwind after a stressful day?

By soaking in a long, hot bath with a great book and a glass of red.

.

Describe your ideal Saturday night:

Going for dinner with my hubby and/or friends, chatting and drinking the night away.

.

What do you do to relax?

I’m really into meditation and mindfulness so I try to switch off and meditate as much as I can. I also love nothing more than putting on my PJs and slippers, and curling up on the couch with one of my favourite movies.

 .

Everyone has their bad habits, what’s yours?

I’m a complete stress head, even though I try very hard not to be!

.

What’s your most cherished childhood memory?

Trips away with my family in summer – it’s the simple things.

.

What was your favourite school subject?

English! Hence why I love writing so much I think…

.

What’s your dream job?

To be a published, successful author.

.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I would love to be a full time, professional blogger, and also have a family.

.

What top 5 things are on your bucket list?

Oh there are just so many things on my bucket list but my top five would have to be:

Travel Australia

Buy a Chanel Handbag

Visit The White House

Write a book

Buy a house

.

What’s your biggest achievement to date?

N/A (Only because I can’t think of what to say here!)

.

Who inspires you?

My parents. They have an incredible work ethic and are the most generous people I know.

.

Do you have a favourite inspirational quote?

I’m totally obsessed with quotes, there’s nothing else like one for a bit of inspiration. But I think my favourite would have to be:

‘For what it’s worth: it’s never too late to be what you want to be. I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the courage to start all over again’. – F. Scott Fitzgerald

.

What top tips would you give to someone who is thinking of starting their own blog?

Given that I’m new to the blogging world I still have a lot to learn myself, but social media has really helped grow my readership and followers. So I definitely recommend setting up as many social media accounts as possible and really engaging with your followers.

Keeping Up With Karen…

Keeping Up With Karen

Haaaaaappy Sunday chums 🙂

Well, it is here as it’s a bank jolly holiday weekend which can only mean a cause for celebrating one thing = an extra lie in with no alarm set *happy sigh* Though, these days as much as I try my darndest to revel in another few hours sleep I seem to find it really hard, particularly as I’m up from 5am every morning, so waking at 8am feels like I’ve wasted half a day already! Needless to say I’ll be knuckling down to test out a few of my new acrylics and glitter powders… oooh what excitement for a magpie like me 😀

However before I even contemplate moving a muscle it’s time to take an hour to absorb myself in some blog buddy catch up with the help of a big mug of milky coffee. Slllurrrrp. However, if you’ve a recent blog post you’d like to share then pop it in the comments below, I’d love to know what some of you guys have been up to this past week or two so feel free to drop me an update! Sweet Endings, Embracing Change & New Beginnings…

New Beginnings

Like I mentioned in yesterdays intro, I’m a bit of a weirdo when it comes to change. Even if it doesn’t necessarily affect me it takes a long time for me to adjust. It’s bizarre, right? Of course that can be limiting as I quite often avoid embracing new things simply because I wallow comfortably in routine; anything different to that feels like a wild threat determined to disrupt my mental karma. Naturally, copious tea drinking commences… aren’t I glad it’s nothing stronger?! *rolls eyes* Maybe it’s down to my erratic anxiety levels or maybe it’s just the fact that I get comfy in the same old spot for too long. Whatever the reason, I feel it’s time to move on and instigate a few little changes of my own.

At this point you’re probably thinking ‘what the fudge is she whittling on about?!’. Okay, here goes a bit of a back track story… In October 2014 I launched Confetti & Curves. At the time I’d literally gone through the mill with mental health issues – if only you guys knew the struggle, it was real & it was frightening. But without dwelling on the gloom and doom, blogging picked me up and took me out of the darkest depths of what I was battling. It helped me cope immensely. I spent night after night chatting to new blogging chums… most of whom have become friends I’m yet to meet. It’s been lovely, thoroughly lovely in fact, and I’d highly suggest blogging to anyone battling their own inner demons as it can be such a healthy & creative distraction.

pink heart

In November 2014 I wanted to give something back to the blogging community, albeit it nothing major but it was my own way of positively drawing attention to the bloggers who were unknowingly helping me through such a tough time in my own life, hence Behind The Blog was born.

Over the past 18 months (Eeeek! I can’t believe it’s been THAT long!!) literally hundreds of bloggers have featured twice a week, joining me on my so called ‘virtual sofa’ to chatter about their own little corner of the internet. Learning about others in the blogging community has proven that regardless of skin colour, religion or location we can all be surprisingly similar in many ways… or totally different but still enjoying the company of each other.

And-suddenly-you-just-know1

I can’t begin to tell y’all just how much I’ve enjoyed hosting this series. It’s been a treat getting to know so many of you a little bit better alongside the added bonus of some great online friendships blossoming through it. But it’s time to move on. It’s not that I’m fed up or tired of introducing all you lovely lot, it’s just reached a point where I’d like to explore a few new opportunities as well as take the time to read more blogs and put as much as I can into becoming self-employed again. Woo hoo! It’s exciting, right? Of course I’m by no means saying that I’m giving up blogging – absolutely not!!! I’ll still be regularly typing away but merely phasing out the commitment of Behind The Blog every Tuesday & Thursday… which in turn will help me free up some time. In replacement, maybe I’ll re-blog a few of my older posts that new readers might find helpful or simply post a little inspirational feature. I’ve pencilled in a few new series for later in the year that I’ve been itching to work on but simply haven’t gotten the time to tackle – again easing off the Behind The Blog commitment for a while will help me work on creating those exciting projects with some really interesting people! Projects I know you guys will LOVE.

I know some of you are in the process of submitting your Behind The Blog interviews already, and that’s fine, I’m still scheduling as normal. I also know some of you are keen to jump on board, so with that in mind this is my last invitation (for the foreseeable wee while) that I’ll be putting out for any requests. So please get in contact pronto if it’s something you’re also interested in participating in.

pink heart

So if you’re in the process of returning your interview or if you’re eager to get involved (before I begin to wind things down a little) then get in touch via my contact page. If you’re new and would like to read more about it then you can *Click Here* to check out all the information a blogger could need 😉

As for those who have already taken part THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! You guys have been an inspiration, a daily source of encouragement, great online friends and the best medicine for days when even mumbling a few words has been a difficult process. You’re all super-stars in your own right and I cannot thank you enough for allowing the rest of us into your world ❤

Howdy Beauty Buddies…

I’m terrible with endings. Saying goodbye always feels intensely yucky to me, whether it be dropping Emma off at school (I know, I know I’m a soppy over-protective mum…though some days I sigh with relief at a few hours of peace) or saying goodbye to a close friend who I’ll probably not see for years to come. Either way I always get tinges of sadness.

Yesterday in work I said a final cheerio to a lovely work colleague who left the department so abruptly. It was a tough exit for her & being a temporary worker there nothing anyone could do about it. It stayed with me right through to last night, wondering if she was okay – particularly seeing her so teary-eyed yesterday. I’m sure as the days pass she’ll be fine. It’s just a shock to us all as a great wee team, and on a selfish level I never cope well with change… even if it doesn’t directly affect me, it just never sits well in my bones. I’ve drifted off to sleep for a few hours tonight, probably with the thoughts of everything in my mind. But I’m awake now, drinking tea and writing to you guys – who always manage to cheer me up 🙂 That’s the awesome things about blogging, the community spirit. A random comment really helps lift a dull mood & lighten the stresses of a dismal day. So thank you guys – oblivious as you’s all may be your constant support & friendship goes without saying ❤

Talking of blogging community, I have a rather fabulous gal to introduce y’all too today as the lovely Alexis from Coast to Coast with Alexis joins us for a chat about behind the scenes of her beauty & lifestyle blog. What I love about Alexis’ posts is that it quite often comes across that she’s writing straight from the heart. In fact it feels like you’re lost in an email from a good friend rather than a blogger you’ve never met. She’s always so engaging, cheery and totally relate-able. Sounds like your kinda blog buddy? Then why not pop on over and check her out, right after we’ve taken a peek Behind The Blog

Moving from coast to coast constantly, I’m always met with different things from each coast (friends, work, etc). So I thought a blog would be a good way to combine the west coast with the east.

.

Tell us about your blog name… what made you decide on it?

Coast to Coast with Alexis is definitely the best indicator of why I started blogging so it was just cute and direct.

.

Do you ever suffer from Blogger’s Block & if so how do you overcome it?

All the time. Sometimes I look at what my favourite YouTubers are talking about, or sometimes I’ll decide it’s a good reason to buy some make up, or just looking to what I’m studying in class and seeing if any of those would make a good blog post!

.

What’s your favourite post to date?

Probably “An Open Letter to my Boyfriend” because that was when I really let my readers inside of my life.

https://coasttocoastwithalexis.wordpress.com/2016/01/14/an-open-letter-to-my-boyfriend/

.

Describe your everyday clothes style:

If I can get away with wearing jeans and T-shirt, it’s a good day.

.

What are your current top 3 beauty items?

Anastasia Brow Wiz in Auburn, Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer, and Maybelline Matte Lipstick in 650 – Nude Embrace

.

How do you like to relax & unwind after a stressful day?

Definitely Netflix and Coffee, they’re my two favourite things

.

Describe your ideal Saturday night:

Mexican Food (take out or dine in, doesn’t matter) and Netflix in bed

.

What do you do to relax?

Literally, apply make up. Putting on make up is just such a good de-stresser for me, personally.

.

Everyone has their bad habits, what’s yours?

Hitting that snooze button in the morning way too often

.

What’s your most cherished childhood memory?

I don’t think I have one

.

What was your favourite school subject?

Math was definitely my favourite subject, but I definitely hated taking Stats in college

.

What’s your dream job?

I’m in between becoming a Marriage Family Therapist and a School Psychologist

.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Hopefully graduating my Master’s program!

.

What top 5 things are on your bucket list?

Going to Dublin, owning a home, adopting a child …that’s it so far, I don’t really have an interesting one

.

What’s your biggest achievement to date?

Probably getting into BU, maybe that’s sad but so many amazing accomplishments have come out of coming to Boston University.

.

Who inspires you?

Rory Gilmore, everyday of my life

.

Do you have a favourite inspirational quote?

“Control what you can, Confront what you can’t,” –The Maine

.

What top tips would you give to someone who is thinking of starting their own blog?

Don’t let your stats control you. Of course post things readers want to see, but if you love a post you wrote and it doesn’t get a lot of traffic, it doesn’t make it a bad post. Remember why you started!

Behind The Blog featuring Stefhanie from Honey In A Gold Pot…

Honey In A Gold Pot

Howdy Beauty Buddies.

I trust you’re all having a fabulous week so far (albeit only Tuesday) but in my opinion if you’ve survived a horrendously hectic Monday then you’re good for the week ahead 😀 It’s been a funny old one here, with a bizarre mixture of thunder storms one minute and then sun splitting the trees the next. Makes it hard to know what to wear…. sandals or thigh-high waders *rolls eyes* Anyways, before I press ahead with today’s post a huuuuge ‘tankin yew’ for the chatters on yesterday’s feature My Top 5 Favourite Nude Lipsticks. If gorgeous soft earthy tones is your kinda shades when choosing the perfect lippy then do check it out… oh, and feel free to tell me your fav nude lip wear too… so I can add it to my wish list of course 😉 hehe

However onto today’s post as we welcome the stunning Stefhanie onto the virtual sofa as she stops to chatter about life behind the scenes of her beauty & lifestyle blog: Honey In A Gold Pot. How utterly sweet is her blog name?! It conjures up cute little fuzzy honey bees & lots of yummy honeycomb in my mind… nom!! Never the less, Stefhanie’s blog is actually super chic, stylish & oh so pretty. Being a cosmetic craver (like most of us round these parts) expect a wealth of beautifully presented posts, news & reviews! Check it out, I’m sure you’ll adore it as much as I do chums, but before you go anywhere time to take a quick peek Behind The Blog…

Stefhanie

In only 5 words describe what readers can expect from your blog:

.

What inspired you to start blogging?

At first, I started my current blog because there’s competition that time for winning Korea trip, they require us to have 1 blog and start blogging about Korea and share it to as many people as possible. The most interesting and attractive post and blog will win the prize. I didn’t win that time, and begin to lost vision for my blog. I started to blog random post about my life, blog about my photograph because photography also one of my hobby. But after a while, I also lost interest for blogging my photography’s journey. I prefer using Instagram for sharing my photograph. After a while, I decided to switch my majority blog’s topic to beauty and makeup and I really enjoyed it. I’m happy that I’m able to share my experience with products, and blogging also helps me to work up my ability to write and compose something to read (believe it or not, I’m not that fluent for talking in English).

.

Tell us about your blog name… what made you decide on it?

Nothing too complicated, just decided because of random thought.

So here we go : Stefhanie – I’m either called Stef or Hanny or Hanie (same pronunciation either way) and honey also got same pronunciation. And for the ‘in the gold pot’ part, I’m just making it and somehow it turns out like that. LOL

.

Do you ever suffer from Blogger’s Block & if so how do you overcome it?

Yes of course. Sometimes I overcame it with nothing at all. I just stop and do nothing with my blog. Post nothing at all. And later when I have refreshed my mind, I go back and write again. That’s why I never have a scheduled post on my blog, I just write and post. One at a time.

.

Describe your everyday clothes style:

My everyday clothes style are kind of comfy. Mostly top and jeans and flats or sandals.

.

What are your current top 3 beauty items?

Hmm.. for now I’m really into cushions again. I’m wearing missha magic cushion now, also I really enjoy using fake lashes nowadays. I wear Lavie Lash, it’s a local brand but I heard they already available in Sephora sg & my also! And the last is 3ce real soft cleansing sherbet. I really loving this again. I have my review too for missha cushion & 3ce cleansing sherbet. Make sure that you check it out!

.

How do you like to relax & unwind after a stressful day?

Watch YouTube, play games, go to bed early.

.

Describe your ideal Saturday night:

Go watch movie (if got interesting one), go hang out with friends, go eat outside.

.

What do you do to relax?

Sleep. LOL

Light up aroma therapy candle.

Listen to music

Go to massage parlour

 .

Everyone has their bad habits, what’s yours?

I’m lazy, and not very organized. I’m especially lazy to drive because the traffic jam’s here so bad. I get anxious when I have to drive.

.

What’s your most cherished childhood memory?

When I don’t have to think about life and just enjoy it everyday.

.

What was your favourite school subject?

Biology

.

What’s your dream job?

Beauty entrepreneur or professional photographer

.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

.

What top 5 things are on your bucket list?

5.Adopt/buy a Corgi!

.

Who inspires you?

.

Do you have a favourite inspirational quote?

Behind The Blog featuring Glamorous Etoiles…

Glamorous Etoiles

Don’t you just hate it when you spend an hour online looking for the perfect sandals only to find them & discover they’re all sold out of your size?! *sob*

I couldn’t believe it. I’d literally trailed through every online store looking for the perfect summer shoes… and when I finally found what I wanted they had every size but mine in stock. Worst of all they’re on sale – typical. It never ceases to amaze me just how ‘sods law’ life can be at times. Needless to say I settled for a second pair, but they just didn’t have the same wow. However no doubt their arrival will kick start the hunt for a great pedi polish… recommendations needed gals! 😀

Oh, and before it escapes me thank y’all soooo much for the flood of comments yesterday on World Meet Boris: A Fluffy Kittens YouTube Debut… you certainly spoilt our cheeky little chap with oodles of kind comments! Isn’t he just the cutest? I’ll do a bit of an update a few months down the line to show y’all just how much he’s grown… however if you can’t wait til then, keep a close eye on Instagram as I’m pretty sure he’ll pop up every once in a while!

However onto today’s post as we welcome our second blogger of the week, the lovely Rahma from Glamorous Etoiles. For those who haven’t already met Rahma you’re in for a treat, particularly if you’re an avid makeup maven & cosmetic craver as Rahma adores blogging about all her latest make up looks, news and reviews. However before you take a virtual trip over to say hello, grab yourself a quick cuppa and get comfy as we take a peek Behind The Blog
