Of course now that the darker nights have firmly taken hold, a bath-time treat feels somewhat ritualistic to warm the bones on these chilly autumn evenings. And if you’re anything like myself, you could end up going slightly OTT when it comes to stocking up on an array of yummy smelling bath goodies *happy sigh*

So for those of you who adore the mere thought of hoarding a stash of sumptuous bath bombs & other scented beauty goodies, I simply must insist you take a virtual trip over to the folks at Bee Beautiful to check out their incredible range of handmade products… all of which I’m pretty sure you’ll fall in love with just as much as I have ❤

“Bee Beautiful is a new company based in Dalton-in-Furness, Cumbria. It has developed over a number of years from a cottage industry using beekeeping products from our own hives.

Our creams and lotions were first tried by family and friends and were met with great enthusiasm. It’s these good results that have encouraged us to go further and form Bee Beautiful Ltd.

Why not try our range of exciting bath bombs, lushious smoothies, refreshing soapscreams, household polishes, all where possible made with natural ingredients and the added benefits of bee related ingredients which are sure to create a buzz.

All our products are hand-made using the purest of ingredients a full list of which can be seen on each of our product’s pages. We believe you should know exactly what we put into our products.

To ensure all our products are safe we send a samples for laboratory tests to receive certificates of safety.”

So how did this little Irish clan come to know all about Bee Beautiful? Well, as most of you already know it was my daughter Emma’s 10th birthday a few weeks ago, and one of her (many) gifts was this gorgeous selection of the mini bath fizzies from her big sister Hayley… how cute are these? 😀

Bee Beautiful 1

Of course being a craver of all funky little bath treats myself, I couldn’t help but get intrigued – especially on whiffing the amazing selection of scents! Here’s what Emma received in her gift bag…

Blue Lagoon (Banana)

Charlie Bear (Baby Powder)

Parma Delights (Parma Violets)

Bizzy Bee (Honey)

Green Apple

Very Berry (Strawberry)

“Our Bee Beautiful Bath Bombs and Smoothies give you a different experience in your bath, whether it is fruity freshness, spicy sensations or sweet scents of honey. They are all handmade, using pure ingredients and the finest essential oils.

Drop a Bee Beautiful Bath Bomb into a bath of warm water and it will fizz vigorously, releasing its perfume and essential oils, while the Bicarbonate of Soda softens the water and the almond oil and honey moisturiser help to smooth and nourish your skin. Rinse bath well after use.”

All sounds rather tempting, however the real treat begins when you pop just one of these fizzy little fella’s into your bath & watch it fizzle furiously as the room fills with your choosen delicious fragrance. Emma opted for testing one of the Parma Violets whereas I haven’t been able to resist recently trying out the Green Apple – what a scent to savour!

I have to admit, it doesn’t just stop at a great smelling bathroom as they leave your skin feeling incredibly soft, supple & silky smooth. Considering price tag for their larger bath bombs starts at only £1.99, this is most definitely a pocket friendly treat or gift idea – particularly coming up to the jolly hols!

In only 5 words describe what readers can expect from your blog:

Cruelty-free for beauties over 30!

What inspired you to start blogging?

I’d quite accidentally stumbled upon a beauty vlogger doing a review of a product I ended up not purchasing thanks to her honest review!  I was immediately hooked and spent way too much time and money updating and expanding my collection of beauty products.  After a while, I started to feel like I had acquired this education from which maybe others could benefit with a little less cost 😉  I had also made the transition to cruelty-free products, beauty as well as personal and home care.  I wanted to do a bit more to spread the word than just haranguing my family and friends about it.

Tell us about your blog name… what made you decide on it?

I wanted to come up with something that reflected both of the themes I was hoping to target.  The idea that beauty is ‘for good’, i.e., something that lasts a lifetime.  And, of course, that making the choice to go cruelty-free was something that was also for good, a good that goes beyond ourselves.  Does that sound preachy?  I hope not!

Do you ever suffer from Blogger’s Block & if so how do you overcome it?

I guess one of the silver linings of procrastinating for two years before you start your blog is that, once you do start, you have a bit of a back log of ideas for posts.  Many of which have been inspired by what I’ve learned from the bloggers and vloggers I follow and also from questions that people have asked me.  I do sometimes feel a bit of block as far as the writing or phrasing of particular posts.  I find that if I’m really feeling stuck in that regard, it helps to step away for a while and come back refreshed.

What’s your favourite post to date?

I think, so far, it’s my Can beauties over 30 sport sparkle? post.  It’s the first in what I plan to turn into a series asking (and, from my perspective, answering) the question about whether beauties over 30 can sport different beauty trends.  Also, I got to play with sparkles!

Describe your everyday clothes style:

For work, I’d say tailored business-casual.  For fun, still tailored, but with a little pinch of glam…

What are your current top 3 beauty items?

1) Hourglass Illusion Hyaluronic Skin Tint

(My shade is Shell)

2) Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge

(My fave way to apply my Hourglass base)

3) Gerard Cosmetics Color Your Smile Lip Glosses

(If I had to pick a fave, I’d go with Plum Crazy)

How do you like to relax & unwind after a stressful day?

Playing with my dog and having a glass of wine and some snacks with my husband, then some The Walking Dead on demand.

Describe your ideal Saturday night:

See above….

What do you do to relax?

To really relax, honestly, there’s nothing like a little TV.  I hate to be redundant, but sometimes, let’s face it, it’s a great way to turn your mind away from yourself for a bit.

Everyone has their bad habits, what’s yours?

In no particular order, hair twirling, procrastinating, & chops breaking (just ask my husband)

What’s your most cherished childhood memory?

Any memory of time with my grandma Gloria and my grandpa Bill

What was your favourite school subject?

I don’t know if this counts as a subject per se, but I took choir as my fine arts elective all through high school and I loved it.

What’s your dream job?

Rescuing dogs full-time

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Fingers crossed, rescuing dogs full time and still writing Beautyforgood.net!  I’d be thrilled if someday beautyforgood.net could even earn a bit of money that we could put back into our rescue efforts.

What top 5 things are on your bucket list?

Swimming with dolphins in the open ocean

Living, for a while, in Rome

Volunteering at an elephant sanctuary

Having a home near the ocean

Mastering driving a standard shift car

What’s your biggest achievement to date?

From the perspective most closely associated with what I blog about, I’d have to say becoming and continuing to try to be the best dog mom I can.  Becoming a dog mom was the fulfilment of, literally, a lifelong dream.

Who inspires you?

Too many people to name, for too many reasons to list.

Do you have a favourite inspirational quote?

I couldn’t honestly say that I do.  I’ve certainly heard and read many that I liked, but not really one that’s stuck with me.

What top tips would you give to someone who is thinking of starting their own blog?

Focus on being proud of what you’re blogging, rather than on comparing yourself and your blog to others.  Try to be generous and genuine with your support of other bloggers, you know how much work goes into it!
