If there’s one thing I love when a new year roll’s in, is that with it, rolls shopping for a brand new diary… including an array of accessories: pens, dividers, post-it-notes etc. *happy sigh*
As I’ve stated MANY times before I’m a self-confessed stationery addict. There is (almost) nothing that fills me with more satisfaction that filling in a blank info page of a brand new personal organiser for the very 1st time. I even deliberate over the most ridiculous of details… what style of handwriting I should adopt, what colour ink, where I’ll be positioning my little sheet of mini post-its… the whole event in its entirety is a complete & utter joy AND this year it was even better as I finally got my hands on a planner I’d been lusting over for weeks on end. Is there ANYTHING as painful during a ‘no spend December’ than that horrid panic from wondering if your other half has managed to pick up on your sledgehammer hints and get their order in on time? All to avoid the utter catastrophe of seeing those dreaded 3 words: OUT OF STOCK *eeeeek* Painful huh?
However THIS year I succeeded in ‘taking control’ of the situation… long story short, the Personal Planner is now mine ‘Mwah ha ha’ *evil laugh* Unfortunately, the spend on a brand new Erin Condren was just out of the question. As utterly beautiful as her planners are, when I totted up the shipping etc it was just ridiculously expensive and couldn’t be justified. I’m not a spend-thrift but I know when silly-spending becomes apparent in the grand scheme of things.
So, after taking to the interwebs (for a good old personal organiser browse) my lamps finally caught sight of this little gem – it’s the Organised Mum Life Book. Now before you protest that you’re not a mama, calm your jets, as although they have a wonderful range of helpful planners for busy families, this one is personal! It’s one on one. Perfect.
So if you’re still on the lookout for a personal organiser that doesn’t cost the earth but has lots of helpful planning features then take a peek at this little beauty. However, be quick if you’re ordering as stocks are sold-out on Amazon and extremely limited on the OM website. I’ll link it below if you’re on the verge of treating yourself 😉
Hope you enjoy the video tour of my new Organised Mum Life Book – don’t forget you can *CLICK HERE* to subscribe to the Confetti & Curves YouTube channel so you don’t miss any future uploads!
Have you treated yourself to a new personal organiser? What do you use to plan ahead with? Whatever your thoughts I’d love to read them in the comments below, so do stop by and say a quick howdy 🙂

I am also a real stationary addict. I totally get what you are saying about opening the planner for the first time. I just loooove the smell of fresh planners or notebooks haha, can’t help it. Thanks for the tip. I’ll definitely check out the site. Because those Erin planners you speak of… OMG how expensive can a planner be! ❤ Sarah

Oh here’s me thinking I was the only one that does that Sarah – you should see me in book shops, I’m like some sort of crazy addict lol lol I know – the Erin ones are super beautiful but my gosh they are expensive!!! I just can’t see the justification in it – but maybe one day I’ll be crazy enough to invest lol XXXX

Isn’t it such a neat wee design!!! I just need to stalk the life clean out of your blog now Emma so I can decorate it and make it look as pretty as can be. Next purchase will be stickers – I’m assuming Etsy for those? Oh so exciting hehe XXXX

Etsy is definitely the place to find those stickers – be ready, make sure to block out a few hours for sticker browsing because once you start, it’s crazy how quickly time passes! Also, there’s a lot more UK and European bases shops doing planner stickers now because P&P from any of the American stores is always crazy!

Yes, great for options, bad for bank accounts! Once you start browsing stickers, it’s crazy how quickly you can fill up a basket!

Love these as I am addicted to buying more stationery. Unfortunately, my goal every year is to keep using a diary for longer than a week and I can’t ever seem to succeed. 🙂

lol lol Julia this made me giggle so much as I have had countless unused diaries that have gone to recycling after a lonely existence of lying in a drawer or on a shelf unused… however I’m determine this is ‘the one’ – check in with me in a few months and we’ll see lol lol XXX

That’s a really nice planner! I can’t really justify buying myself a big one. I don’t have much that I plan lol. I think the Erin Condron planner is probably just popular because it’s expensive and some popular youtuber mentioned it lol. I just got myself a little pocket planner for the year, I’m so fancy! Lol. I hope you have fun with your new planner 🙂 xxxx

You know I tend to agree with you Katie! I’m amazed at what people will pay for a planner compared to some really great affordable options! Crazy!! Go you with your pocket planner – sometimes they’re all a gal needs… you can fill it with lots of blog post ideas now hehe XXXX

Haha! Well I’m glad you agree with me lol. I’m just kind of winging it when I do posts, I haven’t planned anything out ahead of time. I haven’t been on WordPress in a bit because I’ve been having an increase in pain these past few days. I try to come on here when I’m able. XXXX

Oh I’m the same too Katie – and now I’ve taken a dose of the winter bugs… so much going about and with a compromised immune system I usually end up with everything going *sigh* At leasr we pop on when we can – it’s more than enough when battling health issues ❤ XXX

It hasn’t been a good start to 2017 for me. I had to go to the hospital Monday night. I have an infection and I had to have an IV to hydrate me and a bag of antibiotics as well. I’ve just been resting this week and taking my antibiotics that were prescribed to me. I’m starting to feel better. ❤ XXX
