As promised, I mentioned I would post a few pics of the wedding for y’all to have a gander at! For those new to Confetti & Curves, it was my mum’s wedding recently & as we celebrated the occasion the shameless selfies were in full flow! Here’s just a few of the fun shenanigans that made her wedding day such a memorable one…
The location…
The bride and groom choose the Dunadry hotel, a gorgeous old mill house tucked away in the country side with a real cosy family feel.
The staff were incredible – as were the cocktails 😉
Of course to help burn off all those extra calories the hotel had a leisure suite & swimming pool which Steve, Emma & I managed to visit during our stay. Ridiculous as it may seem, it was actually my first time in a jacuzzi… what a relaxing experience that was after emerging from the hot mass of bubbles *happy sigh*
.
The night before…
With most of the bride’s closest family members checked in, the celebrations were already in full swing the night before the wedding as we gathered for mums last meal as a single gal! How excited does she look?
Naturally it wasn’t long before the silliness & selfies commenced… thanks to my younger sis Leah for bringing along some fun face accessories 😀
Somebody call Vogue….. my two brothers, Kirk & Curtis posing for the camera.
Even uncle Clifford gave it a go!
Leah *pretending* to look civilised 😉
.
The Big Day…
The morning of the wedding seemed a bit hit or miss with a few light showers… however by afternoon the sun rays were peeking through the clouds. How gorgeous is the garden?!
.
It was an early start in the bridal suite as the makeup artists arrived to work their magic ❤

By midday we were glammed up and ready to go! Nerves were on the up but the champagne & strawberries helped keep us all a little more chilled out *clink*
Lynn (our incredibly talented hairdresser & family friend) who is skilled beyond words… not a follicle out of place the entire day! How gorgeous do both these ladies look? Loving Leah’s floral dress!
Finally it was time to take our seats and test our waterproof mascara as the ceremony commenced. Such a beautiful room!
The bride and groom getting ready to sign the register as little Emma watched over her gran ❤
Officially husband & wife as the witnesses sign the register!
The cutest favour bags filled with homemade fudge (thanks to Leah’s baking skills) along with my little crafted ‘Eat Me’ tags… such a fun project that was so simple to make!
The cutting of the cake… a very happy Mr & Mrs Smith ready to dance the rest of the evening away!
What a gorgeous few days filled with celebrations, love, & plenty of laughter.
Wishing y’all a fabulous weekend whatever your plans are – don’t forget to say a quick howdy in the comments below! 🙂
Cheerio Chums…
…
Catch me on:
That is of course a wonderful family celebration. Your sister got the exact nose like you. Your little darling is such a doll. Bless you all.

Sometimes it’s better to focus on making the memories rather than documenting them. It looks like you struck a good balance! 🙂

Sending my usual big batch of hugs right over to you huni, hope all the family are keeping well XXXXXX
