Howdy Chums…
Have y’all had a fab weekend so far? Mine has been lovely, really really lovely. Not gonna lie this past few weeks have been a slight test of character but having spent a wonderful night in with great friends I’m smiling from a night of laughs and great banter. Best of all, I won’t end up with a banging headache considering I’ve spent the night sipping on organic elder-flower spritz to was down our yummy takeaway. It’s nights like this I thoroughly enjoy, no dressing up, no tottering around the town in aching heels and no waiting in the cold for taxi’s. Just slipper socks and great company! Maybe I’m showing my age but I adore nights in waaaayyy more than nights out – a sign I’m getting complacent or comfy? Who cares… as long as I’m having fun, right? 😀

Oh it’s your favorite?! Awesome 🙂 I had Kung pao chicken and it was fabulous. I brought half home to make a second meal out of it. What do you usually order in Chinese restaurants? 🙂 xoxoxo

It sure it – I love it 🙂 Oh what’s Kung Pao? I usually either order: Beef in Black Bean Sauce, Chicken Satay or Honey Chilli Chicken.. Arrrgh you’re making me hungry now lol XXXX

It has chicken, peanuts, I think peppers, water chestnuts (I think) I could be wrong on that one. It might have a little more but I don’t pay attention, I just order it because it’s tasty, salty! And it’s good over a bed of rice. Ooh beef in black bean sauce sounds good. I’ve never heard of chicken satay or honey chili. Here ya go 🍵 we can pretend that this is the hot and sour soup. Yumm 🙂 and don’t forget the fortune cookie 🍪 xo

Hi Karen! I am glad that you are doing well. It is hard to go through those “character-testing” times. I just went through a wave of that for a few weeks. It feels good to be on the other side of it. It will get better for you too and sounds like it has. Just do things that bring you joy and continue to surround yourself with positive, uplifting, and supportive people.
I agree with you! I think nights in are far better than nights out! I used to enjoy getting all dressed up and was less daunted by donning heels all night, but now I prefer standing on solid ground… Preferably in the comfort of home :). I guess we are getting older and wiser!
I am looking forward to reading some of your featured posts.
Take care and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Thank you SO much for this truly encouraging and inspiring comment Alana, this was exactly what I needed to read right now huni. It’s amazing how the words of people that you’ve never met have such an impact. Will most certaily continue to fill as much of my life with all those good things in life – essential to focus on the positive, particularly in times of negativity!
Yes, just like yourself my nights in are becoming the staples of weekend enjoyment. I’m afraid my heels haven’t been on in quite some time, and oddly enough I’m not missing them one bit!!! lol
Thank you again Alana, this really has made my day to read 🙂 Wishing you a fabulous week ahead huni XXX

Me too! My heels have been neglected and it has felt like a luxury more than anything else.
I am so glad that I could be encouraging! I hope you are doing well and having a Wonderful Week, Karen! Xoxoxo
