Keeping Up With Karen…

Keeping Up With Karen

Six hours in A&E *groan* That’s how my weekend started as Friday morning I woke up to what felt like my entire lower spine had locked & given up the will to function. After (attempting) to hobble around for a few hours with random out-bursts of tears, I admitted defeat and ended up drugged up in a wheel chair, hunched over like a 95 year old woman with my right calf swollen to the size of a small country. Bizarre, I know! Needless to say a clot was ruled out thanks to an ultrasound, however the back malfunction remains a total mystery. Why is it every ailment I have always seems to be a baffler in the medical profession? Don’t get me wrong, the hospital staff were indeed amazing and totally thorough in checking things out… but being sent home with a bag of pain killers, antibiotics and a “hmm, we’re not quite sure” has resulted in yet another weekend of grogginess and agony. Oh what it must be like to feel normal!! *sigh* I’m 33 for the love of God, yet here I am feeling three times that age. However in the midst of it all my weekend has been pretty okay as I’ve taken it easy (aka: done absolutely nothing!!) by consuming copious amounts of tea whilst catching up with some great YouTube friends and blog buddies!

Talking of catch-ups, if you’re revelling in the notion of enjoying a lazy Sunday too, then why not check out what’s been happening on Confetti & Curves this week? There’s been everything from cute Maine Coon kittens to captivating summer nail polishes to colour your own claws with. Sounds like fun? Then flcik the kettle, grab your biggest mug and get comfy…

  2. Sorry about your back hun, I hope you are all better by now.
I know how it feels to be sent home with the puzzled look on the doctor’s faces, lol. My mom as well was sent home with the “I don’t know what is wrong” It’s frustrating but sadly it happens.
