Brush Holder for Air Drying

Acrylic Brush holder for drying

Even though it’s an essential chore of any make-up maven, weirdly enough I actually really enjoy washing my brushes. However what I don’t enjoy is finding a decent parking space for them all to air dry afterwards. This takes away all that unnecessary hassle, giving you a neat little solution to allowing your brush collection to air dry perfectly without the risk of any mishaped bristles or water residue lying in the roots of the brush. Pretty neat eh?

  1. I’ve pretty much tried every version of acrylic cases known to mankind! I’ve settled on the Muji ones since they’re shallow and allows me to see everything at a glance. And they’re not TOO expensive and the quality is good.
I have the brush drying rack from Benjabelle and it’s awesome! Until I dropped it and broke the base… I need to glue it back – it’s been months but I’m so lazy!
I have the roll out travel bag from Mary Kay:

That thing is super handy and will be coming with me for our 2 week vacation to Japan!

    • Ahhh, really? So the Muji ones are the best in your opinion hun? Must have a good look on their website – I’ve always known of them to be a tad expensive but I’ll certainly check them out 🙂
Lucky you heading to Japan – one of my bucket list destinations! Hope you have fun & enjoy ❤ XXXX

      • Muji is fantastic! Unfortunately my local one closed so I have to traipse to London for my fix but you can find some surprisingly good stuff at penneys/primark

      • We don’t even have one over here 😦 (a muji that is) so I’m left with online, though I believe TK Maxx is a good place too. Shall check out Primark next time I’m passing!! Good thinking 😉 XXXX

Ps: sent you a wee email tonight ❤

  2. Thank you for these suggestions, Karen! Dusty make up brushes are the worst 😦 I’ve been able to find similar clear boxes on the U.S. Amazon site… hadn’t thought of TJ Maxx, thanks TheMakeupCase17! And then, just throw some marbles or beads in to help the brushes stand up. There’s also a company called BenjaBelle that sells those brush stand drying thingies. They’re available on the U.S. Amazon and through their own website.

    • I never would of thought of there too Sharon, must check it out next time I’m in as I haven’t recalled seeing any so far in our UK stores! Oooh I’ll be taking a look at Benjabelle for sure! Sounds intriguing! Thanks for letting me know, hope you have a fab week ahead 🙂 XXXX

  3. Oh I hadn’t realised it, but my life has been lacking a proper brush drying rack. What a great invention. Love all of the acrylics you’ve put up here, I really need some more of those convenient drawers.

  4. I recently bought several the 4 drawer ones you’ve put here and I actually wouldn’t recommend them and I’m on the hunt for something different already. Drawers aren’t deep enough to get the majority of foundations in, and the drawers are incredibly annoying, there’s nothing to stop you pulling the drawer out easily and they fit very loosely, they feel and look very cheap.

    • Oh no 😦 I was thinking they’d be excellent for palettes, lip glosses and single shadows etc though I have to say I tend to keep my foundations upright as half of the product sticks to the side walls and it just gets frustrating… I’ve no time to wait in the morning for it running down Rachael – so impatient lol That’s too bad you didn’t like them 😦 What have you opted for next?

      • Could be perfect timing then Rachael as the Muji 5 Drawer Storage Boxes are on sale for £19,95 at the moment!!!
Though oddly enough the one I posted above, a work colleague of mine had brought in to show us and it was lovely, I must double check it was definitely this seller as hers was very good… though I’m she uses Max Factor foundation which I’m sure is a flatter plastic bottle from memory – probably why it wasn’t an issue.Still, all that aside the Muji storage is fantastic!!! 🙂 XX
