Bring On Spring: The Nail Polish Edit…

Spring Nail Polishes

With the sunnier skies virtually upon us what better way to celebrate the arrival of spring by switching up nail colours? After spending (what felt like) a lifetime in winter woollies and deep berry shades, I’m now ready to unleash a wardrobe of pastels to paint what’s left of my nails after the harsh winter months.

Spring Nail Colours

So if you’re looking for some nail inspiration, why not take a peek at some of my favourite colours of the season. Shopping list at the ready gals…

Rimmel Salon Pro in Peppermint

Rimmel Salon Pro Nail Polish in Peppermint

Although I’m not normally spotted in green, this gorgeous minty polish from Rimmel London is a must. At only £4.49 it’s certainly an impressive dose of affordable coverage you can’t go wrong with.

Rimmel London in Lovey Dovey

Rimmel Lovey Dovey Polish

Who doesn’t fall head over heels for a splash of cheery lavender? It’s bright, breezy and great to pair with almost any spring outfit. I’m in love! At £2.99 it’s certainly worth the investment for a great pocket friendly polish.

Barry M Nail Paint in Blueberry

Barry M Blueberry

Okay, so blue nails never do seemto compliment my pink skin tone, however when the tan is on and the sun is out it really does look fabulous! Such a fun & lively colour that reminds me of the bluest skies – ideal for these lighter days don’t you think? Available from Superdrug at only £3.99.

Rimmel 60 Second Super Shine by Rita Ora in Rain Rain Go Away

Rita Ora Rain Rain Go Away

Not quite sure I could aptly convey just how much I adore this polish in literally every sense. It’s chic, classy, yet sassy enough for spring & easily ‘dolled up’ with a gorgeous glittery top coat. At only £2.99 it’s worth the investment time & time again!

Rimmel Glitter in Sparkle Everyday

Rimmel Sparkle Everyday

As you can tell, there’s a bit of a Rimmel theme running in todays feature, but to be fair they’re such great polishes for such minimal spend. Okay, so this glitter (like pretty much every other) is a tad exhausting to remove but just look how pretty it is. Worth the effort? I think so! Pick yours up from Superdrug for £3.99.

The Natural Collection in Shimmer Pink

Natural Collection Shimmer Pink

What Spring nail polish catwalk collection would be complete without a baby pink to end the show? The staple of almost every Spring theme in one way or another. What I love about this polish is the micro glitter that runs through the entire formula, but doesn’t tend to effect removal too much at all. Such a beautiful soft shimmery pink – and for a mere £1.99 it’s the perfect pocket-money treat to brighten any tired looking post-winter nail 🙂

      • I very nearly picked up a cornflower bluey-purple shade from Rimmel last week, it’s on my list for next time I see it now haha. I’ve got a couple of extra days off from work which will be nice, still trying to get over my sinus infection from a few weeks ago. What about you, do you have anything planned? X

I literally chilled and tackled the ‘to do’ list around the house this weekend, for some reason the sunshine has me full of energy but I’m reeeeeally looking forward to my Easter hols next week 😀 *woo hoo* XXX

    • Gosh Kaily I’d never have has you down for those colours… though I’ve no idea why, as your top in the profile pic is a gorgeous bright colour 🙂 Aren’t they lovely? Just wished they suited my skin tone a little more than they do (without the fake tan) lol Hope you’re well XXX

    • I love it too Cos, but gee does it look weird on me 😦 Such a beeeeautiful shade though! I have heard SO many great things about OPI, would you rate them over Essie? Gotta try out the Nails Inc too, I’m still so wrapped up in the Champneys – they are amazing polishes, just wish they had that little mixing ball grrr! XXXX

      • Oddly enough we have too Anne, it was gorgeous up until today and then the rain arrived… oddly enough it’s the kids first day off school… seems a tradition that the weather is glorious when they’re in a classroom and horrid when they’re not. I’m afraid Em’s spent the day glaring out at the garden 😦 Hoping for sunnier skies tomorrow – hang in there chummy, lets hope warmth is on its return 😀 XXX

      • Sorry! It seems to be improving here now, so I hope Em’s a little lucky and gets some great weather for her break as well. Always much nicer than having to spend your holiday inside. xx

      • Awwh thank you lovely – much to our surprise we did get a good bout of sunshine today.. followed by torrential rain, but at least we made it out for a walk to the beach 😀 Was nice while it last lol xxxx

      • I know! Same here: we had a little sunshine and now we are just waiting for a massive storm. Guessing you just had that one, so I hope it clears up for you.

      • Urrrrgh, that’s always the way! It was so lovely today here but then big stormy rain clouds rolled in about 4pm and chilled everything! Hard to know what to wear lol Think you actually might have passed it over to us hehe XXX

      • Oh well, good luck it that case. This was a rather nasty storm. Heard rumours we should have proper spring weather at the end of the week (fingers crossed). xo Anne
