Behind The Blog featuring Madeline from Ramblingmads…

Hey y’all

Thursday already? *happy sigh* Gee this week has flew by, anyone else feels the days are pretty much mulling into one at the moment? However, before I forget a huge thank you for all the likes, comments & shares on yesterdays feature The Eye Shadow Junkie… it sure was a fun chatter folks, and I’m super chuffed quite a few of you enjoyed almost as I did filming it 😀 Mind you it has prompted me to attempt (yet another) ‘Operation Beauty Organisation’ as my cosmetic drawers seem to be overflowing in an ever so slightly chaotic manor! Okay, so maybe I do have a teeny obsession when it comes to shadows… what’s your weakness during a makeup spree? Let me know in the comments below gals, I’m super curious chums!

Talking of curious… fancy checking out a new blog buddy? Course you do! Our final blogger of the week is the adorable Madeline from Ramblingmads… who happens to have stopped by to grace us all with a quick peek behind the scenes of her charming beauty & lifestyle blog! There really is something for everyone over at Madeline’s virtual haven as it’s packed full of awesome beauty-box reviews, fun lifestyle features & thought provoking musings. Madeline has such a fab knack of making you feel like your in deep convo with a great friend through the natural flow of her engaging writing style, so if you haven’t done so already then get yourself over there pronto as I’m pretty sure you’ll adore Ramblingmads just as much as I do!

In only 5 words describe what readers can expect from your blog:

Beauty, books, baking, rambling on

What inspired you to start blogging?

I had a blog about 5 or 6 years ago, but it fell by the wayside, then last year I had to take some time off for health reasons and started blogging again to keep my brain active.

Tell us about your blog name… what made you decide on it?

Ramblingmads has been my twitter handle for years, it’s my name (Madeleine) and something I do a lot – rambling on.

Do you ever suffer from Blogger’s Block & if so how do you overcome it?

Yes, I think it happens to everyone. I read other people’s blogs, IG feeds and try to find some inspiration. Pinterest is good for that too.

What’s your favourite post to date?

My Skincare Saviours in Winter Weather article was quite popular, and I really enjoyed writing it. Having sensitive skin makes me have to be my own expert.

Describe your everyday clothes style:

Work – office casual

Home – mostly pyjamas, I like to be super comfy so only dress up when I have to!

What are your current top 3 beauty items?

Anatomicals Stop Cracking Up – aka the best lip balm ever.

Superdrug’s Vitamin E with Manuka Honey body lotion, everywhere.

Garnier Essentials Rose Water Moisturiser – my face’s best friend.

How do you like to relax & unwind after a stressful day?

Just curling up on the sofa with my Mr, watching TV or a movie.

Describe your ideal Saturday night:

Good food, good friends. Homemade curry, board games, Cards Against Humanity. Laughter

What do you do to relax?

I read, losing myself in a good book, there’s nothing better.

Everyone has their bad habits, what’s yours?

Chewing the skin around my fingernails, gross I know .

What’s your most cherished childhood memory?

Holidays spent at my Nan & Grandad’s, we had so much fun and were spoilt rotten.

What was your favourite school subject?

Literature, which is probably why I studied it at uni, although drama was a close second.

What’s your dream job?

Journalist, beauty writer, novelist – something with words

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Doing a job with words! Having grown my blog and done a bit more travelling.

What top 5 things are on your bucket list?

Write a book

Travel more

Move to Paris for a bit

Dig up the missing bit of my family tree (not literally!)

Spend a night locked in a library!

What’s your biggest achievement to date?

Personally getting my Masters degree while working full time.

Who inspires you?

I’m inspired by people who work hard and achieve things they believe in.

Do you have a favourite inspirational quote?
