My Make Up & Beauty Storage Tour…

If there’s one thing I adore treating myself too (almost as much as make-up) is storage… ESPECIALLY when it’s for stashing my beloved beauty items in *happy sigh* Being a fan of cooing over other beauty blogger & YouTuber storage videos/posts! I’ve been meaning to film this for a while, but as I’ve recently orchestrated a huuuuuge clear out (in the hope that Santa might help replenish the stock level *hehe*) what better time to show you guys around my little cosmetic corner?

As I’m sure you’ll figure out pretty rapidly, I’m slightly obsessed with Ikea. Okay so I might not be the biggest fan of wandering aimlessly around a never ending showroom in search of a loo roll holder, however when I’m on a mission to unearth the best bargains in beauty storage I’m one very focused gal on a mission. If you’re considering revamping your cosmetic storage then I’d highly suggest you take a trip over… in a rather large vehicle!! If you’re anything like me you’ll be returning home with shelving units and desk chairs strategically placed to test your boot space to the limit. However (if also like me) you prefer to avoid the hustle & bustle of a weekend then aim for a weekday morning to really lavish in the solitude to uncover your anticipated purchases. I personally find Tuesday mornings to be the quietest 😉

    • Oh me too Chanelle – I could literally watch them all day though it makes my little set up pale in comparison lol Have you seen Carli Bybel’s makeup room tour?!?! OH MY GOSH. There’s more makeup in there than in an entire Sephora store… utter craziness!!
      Isn’t the desk such a bargain?! Do you have Ikea where you are huni? If so you’ll find a perfect little empties bin in there for sure 😉 hehe Thanks soooooo much for watching chum *huge hugs* XXXXXXXX

      • Oooh Chanelle you haven’t seen anything til you’ve seen this – it’s crazy/ridiculous/unbelievable/madness all rolled into one… what I wouldn’t give for a few hours in her beauty room to have a good rummage through – the stash she has is craaaazy! Check it out 😀 XXXXX

      • I watched one of her videos last night, it’s madness! How does she even decide which products to use? It’d be good to have a rummage but I wouldn’t know where to begin lol. That compliment is all true, each Wednesday evening I look forward to seeing what Karen has got in store 🙂 x

      • Haha 😉 Well the video prompted me to buy some backgrounds for blog photographs as well as a couple of lamps for filming! To be honest I didn’t know it would be so inexpensive! So thanks for that haha. Loved the tour video. Xxxxx

  3. You have really nice scarves. The file cabinet looks like the Alex drawers from Ikea. I’ve seen people on YouTube use those letter holders to hold their palettes. I like your Dior bag 😀 what a great way to store your little samples in the Benefit box. It’s so fun to be creative! Great collection! *waves back* 👋🏻 xoxo

  4. Oh goodness you really have it together. lol I need to organize so badly. I have a my makeup in a little draw but I really have to dig to look for different products. 🙂 I keep saying after Christmas is over I’ll put myself to work and sort through it all.

    • lol Thank you so much huni, I do love my storage so if truth be told it’s a fav little past time of mine sorting out and organising things – must be my OCD working in the background lol Well there you go, maybe in the New Year you’ll make it a priority on your list to get your storage organised 😉 Ahhhh if only I was there Jen we could tackle it together – I blooming love a good clear out hehehe XXXX

      • I don’t have that big of a collection either! It only looks like that because it’s all shoved in one of those cheaper plastic drawer organizers from Wal-Mart haha! Plus my daughter keeps getting in it and throwing everything on the floor since the only space I have for it is in our bathroom. But I will definetly do a post on my new updated space when I get it and put it together! Hope you have a great holiday!

      • Well that makes me feel a little better as so many of these videos there’s literally stock piles of makeup and I’m like ‘huh, how much can one person go through?!?!’ lol Awwh what age is your little girl?   7. I am also a huge fan of storage boxes and Ikea! My favorite boxes are actually the pretty material-covered boxes – in which I store scarves, socks, belts, etc. I also use the Ikea plastic dividers in my bathroom cabinet drawers for makeup and such…Lovely little video Karen! 🙂 🙂

    • Ahhh Katie I was thinking of you the whole time as I remember telling you that I was going to do a post on my new vanity set up but the days rolled into weeks which rolled into months chum lol But hey, it’s finally here hehe You NEED to get to an Ikea – though wait til after Christmas as if you’re anything like me you’ll end up with an empty bank account or painstakingly window shopping.       • LOL I hate those too! I have loaded/unloaded the dishwasher because we need dishes to eat off of but I haven’t tackled my laundry yet. I am going to try to tomorrow. I’m just getting on here now after a few days because I wasn’t feeling too well. Which is also why I didn’t get my laundry done lol. XXXX

      • I am loving the vanity! The glass top is easy to clean and it just looks lovely. Might have to add some of those lovely drawers you showed in the vid though, for some extra storage.

      • Oh brill!!!!! I can imagine it’s a dream to keep looking immaculate – that’s the only draw back about my little desk is that I have to use that little mat to ensure I don’t end up marking it etc. Those drawers are SUPERB Anne, plus you love those grey colours so they’re right up your street I’d say. Also very good for storing makeup well out of the light to keep it lasting longer 😉 Ikea really does have it sussed for us cosmetic cravers who need a decent stash station hehe!! XXX

  14. Great video Karen 🙂 I do love a good makeup storage video! I love those 3 Ikea drawer cabinet thing, I so need something like that! I use acrylic storage although I am running out of space and I don’t really want a table full of acrylic drawers haha! I will definitely need to look into it! You have now totally inspired my to get fixing my makeup table since I have samples and brushes cluttered all over the place haha thanks 🙂
