  1. This turned out to be such a BEAUTIFUL look Karen! I have a holiday party to go to this coming weekend and I’m trying to decide how I want to do my makeup and I definitely want to include a red lip. I am thinking that I need to add Ruby Woo to the collection. I have Russian Red which is great too but WOW Ruby Woo! ❤ It looks amazing on you! You wear red lipstick so very well! Awesome post as always hun! XXXXXXX

      • Thanks Karen! I will be sure to get it whenever I get another MAC lipstick. I haven’t gotten one in a while actually. I will have to look up and see where my nearest MAC store is around here. 😉 XXXX

      • Awe thank you so much! 🙂 I’m surprised too! You know I’ve actually only ever tried MAC’s lipstick. I really would love to try some of their other products eventually. I actually have a few MAC lipsticks I’ve been holding onto that I haven’t talked about on here yet. I will have to try to keep that in mind! 🙂 XXXXXXX

      • Awe thank you so much for reading!! *HUGE HUGS* back to you my sweet friend! I’m finally getting back on here and catching up on comments and posts. I’m looking forward to seeing what’s going on with Confetti and Curves the past couple of days. You’re quite a positive person too Karen! It’s hard to accomplish anything with a negative attitude. I admit I can be negative with my thoughts sometimes but that’s normal lol. I just usually talk it out or think it out and come to my senses. 🙂 XXXXXXXXXX

      • Hey trust me I have those negative moments ALL the time Katie, and often I feel burdening others with my whines and groans is just unfair – silly I know, as sharing problems can be really helpful but I always feel it’s burdening others!!! I know I’ve said it before but it really is so good to have you back on here chum, missed you so much!! ❤ XXXXXXXXXXXXX

      • I know what you mean. It is really hard to share your problems but in the end it really does help to just talk and have someone listen. I am so glad to be back too! I’ve missed you tons!!! Please feel free to email me or FB message me or anything anytime ok? Love you lots Karen!! XXXXXX

      • lol lol I like the sound of cheap cheerful… I’m feeling that about MUA & MUR at the moment – giving the high end a run for their money! 😉 Thanks for letting my know huni, looking forward to checking them out ❤ XXX

      • I actually only own one mac! Bad for a beauty blogger right?! I just find the counters very intimidating, so I have yet to take my time and dive in. I just love my red chanel at the moment.

      • Noooo not at all, I just think we’ve been exploring other things first lol I have to say I find them very off putting also. Personally the staff seem very cold in a few of the branches I’ve been in, never a very welcoming feel 😦 Shame!!! I know, I know, you’re a Chanel girl through & through – it really is beautiful on you ❤ xxx

      • Oh Karen, I might be changing into an Estee Lauder girl as well. Just reviewed an amazing lippy on the blog. But yes, chanel will always be a fav.
And I couldn’t agree with you more on Mac: they seem very orientated towards younger teen girls who like busy counters and don’t seem to mind the lack of service. I have had some great assistance, but it really depends on the sales person. xx

      • Ahhhh seriously?!?! See I feel that way about Clinique too 😀 hehe It’s brill when you find something new that really captures you – but of course, Chanel always has your heart 😉
YES!!!! That’s exactly the vibe I get from MAC. It really isn’t inviting at all… I’m surprised they haven’t looked at this issue as it’s no secret unfortunately. Like you say, all pot luck on who you get. one of the nicest was when I was buying a MAC lippy as part of my sisters birthday pressie… was thinking to myself ‘why couldn’t I have got this girl in the past!?!’ lol Thankfully the girls at the Clinique stand are amazing 😉 XXXX

      • I think that is why mac get away with it: those girls are too young to have tried the more expensive counters so they don’t know what they are missing. It is awful though, I once spend 20 minutes browsing without being spoken too once by the three assistants all gossiping in the corner 😦 Just doesn’t make me want to buy stuff from them. xx

      • Yep, me too – last time I was in I was wanting to swatch Velvet Teddy as a few of them were gabbling beside the till area. The look I got for interrupting one girl as she seemingly slated her ex or some male friend… was crazy. Got a very dry & huffy response along with a total head to toe eye glare… I know I’m not a small girl by any means but totally made me feel like I was utterly inadequate shouldn’t have been there 😦 Thank heavens for online shopping – just a shame they don’t have the same happy cheery staff as LUSH does… I love their shop. The assistants in the Belfast store are superb 🙂 MAC could really learn a thing or two from them!! XXXXX

      • Oh that sounds horrible! I don’t understand that brands let such things slide in training, it means customers get put off and don’t return. They should consider themselves lucky you still order online.
LUSH people are just so happy: going into one of those stores is a guaranteed way to feel better.
        xx Anne

      • Yep, not a nice experience… I honestly think that’s the reason why I’m not heavily reinvesting in MAC. Feel like I’m supporting such a dire customer service, I really should have emailed them at the time to complain.
Agree with LUSH, such a happy lovely atmosphere – if only every shop had their ability to make you feel so valued 🙂 Xxx

      • I have exactly the same: whenever I start browsing at Mac I have a little list of things I want to try and swatch. But I can never find half the colors and help is impossible to get…I usually give up and go visit a nicer counter in stead. xx
