Behind The Blog… featuring Mali from Bramble & Blossom

Bramble And Blossom

Morning lovelies…

As another weekend races towards us I find myself getting enticed by the notion of a cheeky little ‘me spree’. Rummaging through my stash of skincare lotion & potions last night I seem to have stayed pretty stagnant with night creams & toners. As much as I love my staple Olay range it’s time to change things up a gear and branch into new & unknown territory. Clearly the inner beauty blogger is crying out for exciting new products to use & review. Any drug store recommendations welcome gals!

Talking of recommendations – here’s a blog you should all be flocking too as the lovely Mali joins us today for a quick chatter about her super chic online haven, Bramble & Blossom. Being a cosmetic craver (like most of us) Mali’s blog is literally awash with beauty goodies & detailed reviews on a wealth of sassy products! Stylish & talented, this is certainly one blog buddy to add to your ever expanding list of must-reads!

Cuppa in hand? Then let’s meet Mali….

In only 5 words describe what readers can expect from your blog?

 A VERY quirky beauty blog!

What inspired you to start blogging?

Well, I played the Swedish MMO Star Stable Online and decided to blog about that. Then I heard about Zoella and thought “Well, beauty is my thing!” So I started blogging.

Tell us about your blog name… what made you decide on it?

I LOVE blackberries. They are commonly known as brambles, and next to my grandmother’s blackberry bush is a rose bush… I also love the sound of bramble and blossom together.

Do you ever suffer from Blogger’s Block & if so how do you overcome it?

Yes. I do suffer from it, and to overcome it I recommend getting out your camera and taking pictures of ANYTHING until an idea hits you.

What’s your favourite post to date?

Hm. Probably my Make Up For Ever lipstick review.

Describe your everyday clothes style:

Stylish, boho, and casual.

What are your current top 3 beauty items?

The Avon Ideal Flawless Cream Concealer, Make Up For Ever lipstick in 43, and Maybelline Great Lash Mascara.

How do you like to relax & unwind after a stressful day?

Tumblr, doing my nails, and blogging.

Describe your ideal Saturday night:

At home with the cats, cooking up a nice dinner, and laughing about something with my sister.

What do you do to relax?

I make myself a nice cup of tea, sit down for a bit, and read.

Everyone has their bad habits, what’s yours?

Hm. Probably picking off my nail polish. Once it chips I can’t help myself!

What’s your most cherished childhood memory?

Having sleepovers at my grandparents’ house. My grandmother would look my favourite foods, draw me a bubble bath, and when it got late she would put on a movie for me to watch.

What was your favourite school subject?

I’m still in school, but I LOVE science!

What’s your dream job?

Being an actress, singer, or director- I love making movies.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Still in school, hopefully with some career laid out.

What top 5 things are on your bucket list?

Go to Paris, meet Taylor Swift, go to Australia (it may happen in a few years, eep!), go to London, and travel the world.

What’s your biggest achievement to date?

Winning first division in a music competition. I play the violin.

Who inspires you?

Bill Gates, Taylor Swift, my parents, and my teachers.

Do you have a favourite inspirational quote?

“Just do it.” -Nike. I love this quote. Just get out there and DO IT.

pink heart
