What’s In My Work Bag?

Hey Beauty Buddies…

I was invited by the fabulous Fiona over at Fiona’s Wonderland to participate in her exciting new ‘What’s In My Bag’ blog series. Of course being a huuuuge fan of these fun features I jumped at the chance to participate! I must admit it was also a darn good excuse for a thorough clearout… anyone else’s bag literally swarming in receipts?! *sigh*

.

For those of you who fancy popping over to check out the interview style post live on Fiona’s blog (or maybe even get involved in the series yourself) then do take a trip over & check it out.  Of course being my usual ‘YouTube Wednesday’ feature, I couldn’t resist attempting a corresponding ‘What’s In My Work Bag’ video to compliment all the action over at Fiona’s!  So all’s left to do is get the kettle on & press play as I talk you through the contents of my work bag!

  3. Hi Karen!! Loved this video! I also commented on your YouTube channel as well. You’re purse is gorgeous! I completely agree with investing in a good quality purse, otherwise they do tend to fall apart. I have quite a collection of purses myself lol. Plus there is one that I might buy in October if it’s still there and it’s a gorgeous fall purple shade. Anyway, I hope you’re having a great week! Happy First Day of Fall! 😀 *HUGE HUGS* XXXXX

      • Awe thank you Karen! I’m actually feeling a bit better right now. I went to the doctor’s today for my last appointment here in Vegas and all was good! I thought I might have a bladder infection but I didn’t and it’s just been an increase in pain I think due to stress. I got my meds refilled though and am feeling better. Any plans for you this weekend? Sorry I am just replying to your comment now. Ron and I have a lot of work to do this weekend. Seeing as we will be on our way Friday next week! Movers are scheduled and it’s finally going to happen! 😀 I’m not excited or anything lol. 😉 *HUGE HUGS* XXXXXXXXXXX

      • I’m so glad to hear that Katie!!! I’m pretty sure once you get to Michigan and settled you’ll feel so much better for it! Such a stressful time moving, you can only do what you can huni!
Not a huge amount of plans this weekend – wrapping Christmas presents of all things lol Oh don’t be silly apologising – I’m only logging in now to answer Friday evening’s comments. I was so exhausted after a pretty intense week that I just needed a break from the computer to recharge… thankfully most of my posts are pre-scheduled but I still need to keep up with answering comments from my blog buddies 🙂
Oh my gosh I can’t believe you’ve only 1 week left – that’s craaaazy!! Where has the time gone?!?!?
LOL Oooh of course, why on earth would you be excited chummy 😉 haha XXXXX *hugeeee hugs back at ya* XXXXXX

      • Happy Weekend Karen!! 😀 Wrapping Christmas presents already? You’re smart! It’s always great to get that out of the way. I seem to always do last minute shopping. You know, after watching your latest video and seeing your Kindle, I think I want to try to get my Mom one because I think she would really get a lot of use out of because she likes to read and it’s not something she would splurge on herself. Thanks for the idea! lol. 🙂
I did manage to get quite a bit done today with packing. Things are coming along though it can be a little overwhelming. I will just feel relieved after everything is loaded on the moving truck and we are on our way.
I don’t blame you for taking some time away from the computer and recharging. It’s always a great idea. It’s actually been kind of nice in a way not having to blog and being on a break. I don’t have to worry about getting posts up but yet at the same time of course I miss sharing my love for all things beauty and keeping up with blogging buddies.
After today, there will only be 5 more days till moving day! I hope to get a lo of pictures driving on the way out to Michigan, so I will probably post pictures of our road trip and such on Facebook. Well I will stop rambling now. I hope have a great weekend hun! *HUGE HUGS* XXXXXXXXXXXXX

      • Oh yes huni – I need to get them sorted well before the season hits otherwise I get super stressed! lol If your mum loves reading and she hasn’t already got one then I’m pretty sure she would love it Katie!! Honestly I was so against wanting one but when it was bought for me I couldn’t be without it – what I will say though is don’t opt for the Kindle Fire. It needs charging literally every day… the basic Kindle is by far the best option as it literally lasts for weeks without needing recharging! Such a superb device chum 🙂
Glad to hear everything is coming along just fine with the packing – it’s only natural to feel overwhelmed. You’ll be so glad when it’s all over hun!
Oh yes, a little break from the pc is much needed – I had such a busy week last week Katie, was utterly exhausted. Again this weekend had to take some time off, only human and not a machine lol
Oooh really looking forward to seeing your pics if you manage to fb any of the trip!! Miss you chummy and sending the hugest of hugs back to you too XXXXXXXXX

      • Hello Karen!! How are you doing so far this week? I’m doing pretty good! I’ve made so much progress with packing. I worked my bum off yesterday! I’m reading to get back into it today. I feel less stressed the more we get accomplished of course lol.
Thanks for the tip on the Kindle, I wasn’t sure which was to go for. I will probably buy it next month near or on Black Friday when they have crazy awesome sales.:D
I need to catch up on Confetti & Curves soon! I was just hopping on her to see any comments I may have missed. It’s kind of nice to just have a few lol.
I hope that you’re having a great week! I will definitely be posting pictures on FB. 🙂 XXXXXXX

      • Doing well thanks huni & great to hear you are making fab progress!!! No probs re the Kindle, just my sister has the Fire and that is her biggest complaint – so much so she doesn’t use it anymore 😦 However my mum and I love ours and charge it very rarely. I have no idea how it lasts so long lol Oh of course, black friday would be the perfect day for a huge saving 😀
Having a lovely week thanks chummy, missing you on WP as always but super chuffed you’re getting so much done!!! XXXXXXXXXXX

      • I’m so glad to hear it Karen! Thanks again for the the advice on the Kindle. I think my Mom will be very happy with it! 🙂 She really deserves something nice for Christmas. ❤ So glad that you're week is going well. I can't believe there are only two days left now! I'm up early this morning and I plan on getting a lot more done today. Yesterday was a rest day because I had done so much work the day before. I can't wait to be back of course! XXXXXXXXXXX

  4. Great vlog, Karen. Looking gorgeous, as always!

Even your bag is organised! You should see my handbag… I’ve got all sorts of random things in there – mostly toys and … umm junk! (very disappointing, I know) *Hangs head in shame* Hehe. I’m also a shoulder bag type of girl too. I feel naked without it, and carrying a bag in my hand just doesn’t feel right.

AND…. I LOVE the owl purse. Soooo cute!

It was lovely to take a nosy peek inside your bag… It has inspired me to clear mine out! :-p

Have a wonderful week, my blogging chummy! 🙂

Ps; Every bag needs an anti-bacterial… *shudder*

    • lol – your comments never fail to make me giggle Amanda 😀 Ahhh I can assure you it wasn’t in that state before I cleared out half of the junk (aka receipts and empty twirl wrappers) lol Aren’t the owls fab? Such a cute little purse indeed, my mum bought it for me ages ago and it’s held up extremely well considering the usage it gets!! Wishing you a fab week too and thanks so much for the lovely compliment huni – you’re a gem as always ❤ XXXXX

  5. Ha, that surprise tooth must have been funny to discover! I can never leave the house with lip balm, water, and a hairbrush at the VERY least. I pretty much keep everything I can possibly need in my bag, I just can’t help it! Fun post, I love peeking into other people’s bags 🙂

    • Oh Mil it was a bit of a shocker huni lol Yep those sound great essential but I cannot for the life of me drink plain water…. just can’t do it!!! Bizarre eh?! lol Awwh thanks for stopping by huni – much appreciated 🙂 XXX

      • Oh that’s right! I do not understand how that is possible – like how do you manage in situations where water is the only option?? Do you just take those flavor packet things everywhere? I’m so curious about this, mostly because I drink water constantly and freak out if I don’t have any! (We’re clearly at opposite ends of the spectrum here, haha) 🙂

      • lol lol Honestly Mil, I usually just carry around a little bottle of my own soft drink, otherwise I’d be very thirsty indeed huni!! Thankfully though my daughter is like you and adores water – never without her little water bottle! Wish I could be like that but I just detest the taste of it so much 😦 XXX
