What inspired you to start blogging?

I’ve always loved writing and had been thinking about starting a blog for a while. I finally got round to it when decided I needed a hobby to relax and a place to share my experiences and anything that brought a smile to my face and I’m so glad I did!

Tell us about your blog name… what made you decide on it?

I’m the kind of person that is always thinking about moments, memories and the little pleasures of life. That’s when I get my ideas – when my head’s in the clouds! I decided I needed a name that represented that – thus Fly me to the clouds!

Do you ever suffer from Blogger’s Block & if so how do you overcome it?

Luckily I haven’t suffered from blogger’s block yet as I only started blogging over 2 months ago however I do think the best way to overcome it is by reading books, articles and especially other blogs (and interacting with other bloggers) – that always gives me ideas.

What’s your favourite post to date?

This is a hard one…I hadn’t thought of that! I’m going to pick two (cheeky I know):

Describe your everyday clothes style:

I would say I have two everyday styles: my workwear with is smart casual and my street wear which is a mix of style and comfort (I love classic pieces but love trendy signature items as well so it’s hard to establish a specific style!)

What are your current top 3 beauty items?

Smashbox photo finish Primer, L’oreal skin perfection micellar solution and number 7 stay perfect foundation

.

How do you like to relax & unwind after a stressful day?

I usually try and pamper myself – a nice warm bath and a good book or shopping are always good ones!

Describe your ideal Saturday night:

It depends on my mood really but I love a good wine and dine night with my friends so that would be a good Saturday night. Sometimes though I just want to stay in and watch a good movie!

What do you do to relax?

Reading, chilling with my boyfriend, watching movies/series and of course blogging!

Everyone has their bad habits, what’s yours?

Spending too much money on clothes and accessories! :S

What’s your most cherished childhood memory?

The family picnics in a beach called Sao Francisco in Cape Verde. Literally my whole family used to go – lovely memories!

What was your favourite school subject?

History and geography

What’s your dream job?

Working for UNICEF or Wateraid – I have a big passion for development related issues.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Living somewhere where the sun always shines and the grass is always green! Haha Hopefully in a job I love and next to the people I love!

What top 5 things are on your bucket list?

To travel around Asia for 4 to 6 months

To go on a shopping spree in NYC

To go to Brazil

To work on a development project where I am building/teaching (or anything related) in a developing country

To see the Northern Lights

What’s your biggest achievement to date?

Finishing my Masters – cliche I know but it’s so true!

Who inspires you?

My parents, Chimimanda Ngozie Adichie and Malala Yousafzai

Do you have a favourite inspirational quote?

I have so many! Here are some:

What top tips would you give to someone who is thinking of starting their own blog?

You don’t have to post everyday – quality is better than quantity. One of the most important part about blogging is supporting and getting to know your fellow bloggers – build a community and visit other blogs regularly. Show some love and that will be thrown right back at you 🙂
