Behind The Blog… featuring Cos from The World Of Cos

World of Cos

Hey Beauty Buddies…

Did y’all have a jolly bank holiday weekend? It’s been deliriously relaxing here at Confetti & Curves HQ as yesterday was spent doing absolutely nothing other than enjoying a day of recharging the batteries… those lazy days really are essential every now and again, don’t you agree?! However it’s back to reality this morning as both work & school calls for the Rees household *sigh*

Thankfully though Behind The Blog is here this morning to sprinkle a little bit of friendly fun in your early morning latte as I’m joined on the virtual sofa of sassiness by the lovely Cos from The World of Cos. For those of you who aren’t yet familiar with Cos & her thriving little corner of the interweb, you’re in for a treat as like many of us she’s utterly beauty obsessed, mad about makeup & crazy about cosmetics. Sounds like your kinda blog buddy? Thought so!

Time to get yourself comfy, grab a cuppa & prepare to meet the the girl Behind The Blog

In only 5 words describe what readers can expect from your blog:

Facemasks, polish, swatches, reviews, randomness

What inspired you to start blogging?

I wanted to do something different.

Tell us about your blog name… what made you decide on it?

Honestly, my first few choices were taken. It was a fluke that I ended up with The World of Cos.

Do you ever suffer from Blogger’s Block & if so how do you overcome it?

I actually do sometimes. There are so many things I want to blog about that I occasionally get overwhelmed and cannot think of what to say.

What’s your favourite post to date?

My favorite post? That is a hard one.  I can say I invested some time into My Current Favorite Single Eye Shadows Post (, so maybe that one?

Describe your everyday clothes style:

What are your current top 3 beauty items?

Face Masks, Nail Polish, & Lipstick

How do you like to relax & unwind after a stressful day?

I usually wind down by watching The Big Bang Theory with my hubby.

Describe your ideal Saturday night:

Bowling or shopping with my hubby.  LOL

What do you do to relax?

Everyone has their bad habits, what’s yours?

Buying too much nail polish.

What’s your most cherished childhood memory?

I have so many it is too hard to choose.

What was your favourite school subject?

My favorite changed each semester, so I did not have one.

What’s your dream job?

Blogging? LOL

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Living happily somewhere warmer with my hubby.

What top 5 things are on your bucket list?

I do not have bucket list.  Is that weird?

Who inspires you?

A lot of people:  My husband, family, friends, Jiro Ono, bloggers … it is probably better to say the world inspires me!

Do you have a favourite inspirational quote?

It is a quote from Jiro Ono, “You must dedicate your life to mastering your skill. That is the secret to success…”

What top tips would you give to someone who is thinking of starting their own blog?

Enjoy it and do not worry too much about what others think.

Tea or Coffee = Both

Coke or Pepsi = Neither

Messy mayhem or Super Organised = It depends

Cute kitten or Playful puppy = Cute kitten

Night In or Night Out = Night In

Heels or Flats = Flats now

Lip Stick or Lip Gloss = Lip Stick

Rock Chick or Pop Princess = Rock Chick

Paperback or E-book = It depends

I need to try more sheet masks soon. Just been using the same sheet masks I have reviewed in the past lately.

      • She is! She and Chanelle had great ideas for introducing other bloggers out into the WP community. Awww good to hear Cos, thanks, I still need to try the sheet masks you sent me. I usually multi task with my masks meaning I’ll put them on and the blog or was dishes or whatever with them one, lol. Using the sheet mask will force me to relax so I need to set time for this soon. 🙂
