100 Questions No One Ever Asks TAG…

100 Questions TAG Pic

Hey Beauty Buddies…

I’m deeelighted to post a super fun little TAG I was nominated to participate in by the adorable Katie over at Plus+ Beauty. If you haven’t already checked out her virtual haven for us beauty obsessives then get yourself over pronto… you’ll not regret it!

So considering there’s a whole heap of questions to battle through I suppose I’d better jump right in and get started! Grab yourself a cuppa, it could be a long one ladies…

.

Do you sleep with your closet doors open or closed?

Oddly enough, I don’t have a closet in my bedroom but if I did they be well and truly closed!

 .

Do you take the shampoos and conditioner bottles from the hotel?

Doesn’t everyone? 😉 Plus they’re super handy for when friends or family come to stay… just a thoughtful little touch to set on the guest bed. As long as they don’t think you’re hinting that they need a good wash!!

Do you sleep with your sheets tucked in or out?

Tucked in, but not too tight – I like a little bit of breathing space!

.

Have you ever stolen a street sign before?

Huh?

 .

Do you like to use post-it notes?

ALL THE TIME! I’m obsessed with the little fella’s. There’s blocks of them in the bedroom, on my desk, in the kitchen, in the car…

 .

Do you cut out coupons but then never use them?

Can’t say I have but I’ve watched some TV programmes where people get a little OCD about collecting them. Kinda scared I’d go down the same route lol

.

Would you rather be attacked by a big bear or a swarm of bees?

Lovely question… I’d take the bear – quicker way to go than the slow torturous death of bee stings *ouch*

 .

Do you have freckles?

Being Irish I have a few too many… especially in the summer months *sigh*

 .

Do you always smile for pictures?

Awkwardly, yes.

Like Katie, I’d have to say drastically slooooow people are my peeve, particularly in supermarkets when I just need to dash in and out. I also get a bit narked at these folks who take it upon themselves to have a half hour catch up in the middle of an aisle *grrr*

.

Do you ever count your steps when you walk?

Not anymore but I’m pretty sure it was something I did when I was a kid… along with stepping over cracks and lines in the pavements. My mum just loved taking me out for walks lol

Oh heck nooooo.

Oh and of course not forgetting Spongebob – he rocks 😉

  1. Thank you so much for nominating me to do the 100 Questions No One Ever Asks TAG…This seems like such fun and soooo random!

It was wonderful learn more about you, too… although random, I feel like I know you so much better now!

    and…freckles are cute! 🙂

Oh, and I’m eager to know about your spooky paranormal experiences – a future post perhaps? I believe in these things too, but when I tell people they just look at me like I’m crazy :-\

Anyway, thanks again for the nomination and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day! xxx

    • Awwwh you’re sooo welcome Amanda, no pressure whatsoever to accept but I adore your witty writing style so I know you’d have me in crinkles at your answers!!! Slightly selfish of me I admit lol They really are the most random bunch of questions, however such a hoot answering them 😀
Yes, what a great idea – maybe I shall tackle a paranormal post one day soon… could be something a little different! It’s one of those oddly awkward things to chatter about as I often feel most folks immediate response will be ‘the girls gone mad!!!’ so I’m with you on that one…. on the bright side at least I’ll have one sympathetic blog buddy who’s a believer in all things spooky too lol
So welcome, like I said no pressure to accept, but it would sure make fun reading if you did – have a super day too huni 😀 XXXX

      • Well I just have been feeling so much better since I quit Diet Pop (soda). I am not taking in all of that aspartame and so I feel like doing a lot more and get really dive into my blogging lol. I just feel like there is so much I have to review. We all have those hectic weeks though where we might not get as much as we would like to done. Blogging is really like a full-time job! Plus you have a family and you also write outside of blogging so I can’t imagine how busy you must be! 😀 XXXX

        Liked by 1 person

      • It really is pretty demanding Katie – I completely agree! Just as well we enjoy it so much and have lots of fun in the process!! lol That is so good that you’re off diet soda and feeling great for it!!!! What are you taking in it’s place? I’m virtually addicted to drinking cola, it’s ridiculous – I’d love to get off fizzy stuff altogether but I really dislike flat drinks such as squash! Are you finding it a tough transition? Well done huni!! XXXX

        Liked by 1 person

      • Thank you! Well in it’s place I will drink either water or have an occasional regular pop like an Orange Crush or a Mug Root Beer, I just have 1 or at the most 2 a day but usually just one. Then there’s my iced coffee that I love so much and probably drink too much of lol. I buy a carton at the store and just pour it over ice, no need to go to a fancy coffee place lol. I haven’t really missed diet pop at all. It’s been 21 days since I’ve quit. But like you said, I should get off the fizzy stuff all together. Ron is trying to decrease his pop intake as well. He used to drink A LOT of it! Now if I could only stick to healthier eat lol. I was so bad and bought a single piece of cake from the store yesterday while I was getting a few groceries. I ate it yesterday and buried the evidence deep in the trash can so Ron wouldn’t see it lol. I’m awful! LOL! XXXX

        Liked by 1 person

      • Oh my gosh 21 days?!?! Amazing Katie!!! At least you have a little selection of tasty drinks to keep you going 🙂
Oh tell me about the healthy eating *rolls eyes* I had a sneaky caramel square with a cuppa tea this morning lol Packet also hidden from sight – we’re a right bunch eh?!! lol XXX

        Liked by 1 person

      • Ron never looks at my receipts either thank goodness! lol haha. How is your day going? Mine is going all right except for this awful heartburn I have been having lately all of a sudden. It flares whenever I eat something it seems. Oh well I am going to the doctor tomorrow for a routine visit. I will mention something then though I already take a medication for it twice a day! So I have also been popping tums lol. XXX

        Liked by 1 person

      • lol – just as well you hide them!!! 😀 Apart from shopping, it’s been relatively okay! Tad hectic but that’s the norm around here lol
Sorry to hear about your heartburn huni 😦 Hopefully the Doc will be able to figure it out, especially if the meds he’s give you aren’t working. Best to find a prevention than a cure!! XXXX

        Liked by 1 person

      • lol oh they’re hidden alright haha 😀 Glad to hear that you’re day seems to be going well. At least tomorrow is Friday and it’s the weekend!! I am wondering if I will need to have another bronchoscope. I’ve had one before and am overdue for another one. I will mention that to the doctor tomorrow. I haven’t ate anything different or done anything different. It’s weird!! XXXX

        Liked by 1 person

      • Yeeeeeesssss, the weekend – so good to finally see it!! lol Oh no, I hope you don’t need one too 😦 Steve has been having a lot of probs with heartburn, tummy acid & nausea however he has recently cut out wheat from his diet and is much much better. Basically buying all GF foods, I’m surprised how much of a difference it has made for him. Hope you get sorted – keep me posted chum! ❤ XXXX

      • I have sooooooo much to tell you, honestly I don’t know where to begin – at the start would probably be a good place right?! lol I promise I haven’t forgotten I’m just always playing catch up with things and it’s so frustrating – I may have to hire a PA one of these days lol lol Same to yourself lovely lady XXXX

        Liked by 1 person

      • Haha it’s okay Karen. I completely understand!! Just thought I would mention that I am back from the doctor and he is just putting me on a stronger medication for my acid reflux. Though bad news is that my thyroid is low and i have to get another increase in my medication. No wonder I have been gaining weight like crazy lately! Plus it can make my cholesterol elevated which it but it’s not horribly high thank goodness. So yeah, time for me to definitely kick my bum into eating better anyway. I am looking forward to this weekend! Do you have any special plans? Ron and I are just going out to dinner tonight and that’s all I know lol. XXXX

        Liked by 1 person

      • Oh huni I am so sorry to hear that 😦 Thyroids are havoc for weight gain and must be monitored so closely. I sincerely hope the meds lift the levels for you & that your acid meds help the relux. Gee you must be so exhausted with going to doctors etc. 😦
Well, I’m popping out today with Emma, a little girly shopping trip and I may pop into the MAC store – it’ll be my first time… not planning on having a spree just wanted to get a little more acquainted with their products and try a few samples if possible. Not sure how it’s going to go but sure it’ll be fun ( I hope) lol Other than that I’ll be coming home and cleaning the house before getting stuck into playing catch up with writing I’m waaayyyy behind on. Wish there were more hours in the day – though I just may flop onto the sofa later and fall asleep. I’m so darn tired lol Hope you and Ron have a lovely dinner together – you deserve it chum 🙂 XXXXX

      • Thank you Karen. Yeah I hope to get my thyroid under control too. It’s been something I have dealt with since I was like 13 or 14 years old. I have the autoimmune disease Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis which causes the hypothyroidism. There is a like missing connection between my thyroid and pituitary gland I guess. I hate going to the doctor. When I was talking about losing weight in front of the doctor he said NO CARBS! I don’t think I could completely cut out carbs. That’s ridiculous. It was like he just wanted me to eat meat, green veggies and raw nuts. How boring is that? lol. Well we are going to go grocery shopping today and try to pick up some healthier food but I feel like you shouldn’t deprive yourself and just try to use portion control. That’s how I went about it before with Weight Watchers. Anyway, I am so excited for you to go the MAC store! I haven’t even been in one either. I have just ordered online and base my choices from other blogs or swatches that I see online when I buy a lipstick or two…lol. I don’t know if they do samples but I would hope so with how pricey they are. I am sitting on my sofa right now lol though I am awake right now. I will probably get tired later as usual. I hope you get to catching up on your writing too. 🙂 Ron and I had a nice dinner! Delicious steaks! If you ever come to the U.S. a great steakhouse is The Outback. Our steaks were wood fire grilled and were just perfect. Then of course later on in the evening we took a dip in the hot tub again. I thought about going swimming today but I think I will wait to go during the day on a week day then there won’t really be any people lol. Well I hope you have fun at the MAC store and a great rest of the weekend!! 🙂 ❤ XXXXX

      • Sorry you’ve had so much to deal with Katie – that really sounds a heck of a handful to live with 😦 Gee that really is a very restrictive diet he wants you on, I’m not sure I could stick that either so I completely understand where you’re coming from huni. Maybe if you can cut them down as much as possible to see if it helps – just might help. What about trying GF foods – just a thought?! I have nooo idea if it would make any positive difference though!
Oh I didn’t get to the MAC store after all *sigh* It was packed, there was even a queue waiting – and that’s not how I like to shop!!! lol I guess a saturday afternoon was a bit of a silly time to go anyways lol
So glad you had a nice dinner out with Ron, it sounds yummmy!!! 🙂 Tried to get caught up with a few things but such an aggitating headache has taken over – I think I’m done for the week lol
Hope you get your swim soon – you sound just like me, a creature after quietness lol XXX

      • Thank you Karen. All of these health issues can be quite bothersome but I do okay. I have never thought about trying to go Gluten free. I don’t really think I have a problem with that hopefully lol. I know I should cut down the carbs but I don’t think it’s necessarily healthy to cut them out completely. Sure choose whole grain bread over white is a better decision. I hate diets! I wish we could just eat whatever and nothing would change, only in a perfect world lol.
Sorry to hear that you didn’t get into the MAC store. I don’t blame you! I would have done the same thing. Have you tried any of there lipstick yet? I am slowly building my small collection lol. I am think the next one to buy will be Lady Danger which is an orange-red shade. It’s the shade of lipstick that Allie wore in The Notebook movie. I haven’t tried anything of MAC’s besides their lipstick.
Sorry to hear that you have a headache. I have a slight one today as well. I ended up taking a nap today and that was the highlight of my day lol. Yeah I will go down to the pool during the week when it’s more quiet. I like to avoid people as much as possible haha! XXX

      • Oh Katie I HATE diets too – in fact I’m a great believer that they don’t work. I honestly believe making realistic changes is much better than cutting everything out. For me it just wouldn’t work. I think getting active and eating a little more fruit/veg along with a healthy balance of carbs is acceptable 😀
Haven’t tried any of the MAC lippy yet but have my eyes on the Velvet Teddy, maybe I can treat myself one of these days lol Oh I love that film and she looked gorgeous – great choice!!!
Haaa your day sounds very like mine too lol I had a nap, no computer as headache still mulling but thought I would pop on for ten minutes to keep me sane… I’ve avoided most people over the weekend huni, now feeling a tad isolated 😀 lol Xx

      • Yeah I completely agree with you on your view of diets. I learned a lot in Weight Watchers and I just need to learn portion control. don’t think you should ever have to deprive yourself. A good balanced diet with good portions and exercise sounds like a good plan to me. We never went to the grocery store this weekend lol. I just wasn’t feeling up to it. We will probably go tomorrow after Ron gets out of work then.
Velvet Teddy is on my wishlist of MAC shades. I have an actual list. I entered a giveaway for it, Here is the link to the post if you want to enter: http://ohkay-dohkay.com/2015/03/25/velvet-teddy-review-and-giveaway-ohkay-dohkay/ I think today is the last day to enter maybe. You should definitely enter though. 🙂
I have just been pretty lazy this weekend myself lol. My kitchen is a mess and dishes need to go in the dishwasher. I just might load them later tonight if I can motivate myself lol. Well I hope that you’re headache is gone and that you’re feeling much better!! 😀 Xxxx

  3. What fun little answers! I really enjoyed it 🙂 I’m the same way – when ya gotta go, ya gotta go. (Unsay that quite often actually) were both stubborn. Not like that’s something to be proud of hahaha. Yay for the Cheetos mention ❤ great post, 'twas awesome! Xoxo

  4. I’m still only half way through mine. Haha, what a list! OMG I do the same thing with the argument! I argue in my head like a crazy person until I have REALLYYYYYYY given the other person the what-for and then I just move on.

    • YES!!!!!! That is exactly what I do…. but sometimes I get mad and think to myself ‘That’s a friggin good point, why didn’t I say that?!?! Damn it!!!!’ lol
Good luck wading through it lol, I thought it was gonna be a good idea to try it in a video format…. 29 fricken minutes – was like a feature length film so that knocked that idea clean on the head lol Plus my nerves we’re shot, I’d need a few wee whiskeys to smooth out the jibbering lol
Looking forward to reading yours soon – I KNOW I’m gonna be in stitches!!!!!! 😀 XXX

  5. You mean to say you’ve never stolen a street sign before? Karen, what’s wrong with you? lol J/K That is one random question but I guess it could be possible. I also love tea. I’d love to hear more about those paranormal experiences though. That stuff terrifies me like you wouldn’t believe but somehow, I still find myself drawn to hearing about things that happen to people, even though I can’t sleep later that night. Makes no sense at all but I just learn to go with it. Thanks for the nomination! Highly appreciated! 🙂

    • Clearly Stephie I have NEVER lived. I’m such a law abiding citizen… as much of a temptation as pocketing a STOP sign is. hahahah Oh gee, what a question huh? lol That’s so incredible as I’ve mentioned it in a few different posts in the past and people tend to be super interested in wanting to learn more – a sure sign I should really attempt some sort of a post right?! Oh I completely agree. The stuff was so bad I had to move back home with my parents, it was a pretty rough ride and even for a few years after that I was still having bother. Thankfully now it’s calmed down a lot but I was absolutely terrified at one stage. I think it’s because we don’t fully understand it we get drawn into wanting to learn more about it!
You’re so very welcome 🙂 No pressure to accept, just for fun of course huni XXXX

      • Clearly you haven’t lived, lol. It would be interesting though to find someone who has and their reasoning behind it. Oh, I’m so sorry about that horrible experience. I can’t even begin to imagine that. Nothing to mess around with that’s for sure. I can’t even begin to comprehend people who actually conjure up that stuff. I mean no disrespect, to each their own, but I had a weird experience once that just gives me chills thinking about it. I was sleeping but still somehow aware of what was going on and I felt this evil presence hoovering above me. It wanted to get inside me, like take over and I wouldn’t let it. I felt nauseous and sick to my stomach because I could sense the evil. I started praying really hard and then all of a sudden I felt this feeling like pressure being released. I woke up at that moment, bewildered. I felt exhausted and scared. Thank God I have never experienced something like that again nor do I want to. I just know it was real and not a dream. I felt paralyzed and scared because it was so persistent. You will not catch me messing with things like that. 😦 Hope your situation is better now.

      • Oh my gosh Stephie that is truly terrifying!!! I’m sure you were unsettled for months after that, I sure know I would be!!! I completely agree with the conjuring… I’m totally for everyone to their own thing however in my honest opinion I wouldn’t dream of trying to contact or mess with anything like that – from my experiences it’s just too frightening and real to mess with. Even thinking about it now my heart is racing!! Anytime I’ve experienced anything creepy or out of the ordinary my first reaction is to pray too, it calms my down knowing I have the faith to try and fight it through my own beliefs. Considering I chased all this paranormal stuff when I was a teen I’m pretty much the opposite now. I trust my instincts, if something doesn’t feel good it usually isn’t, so I tend to distance myself from the situation.
It’s bizarrely relieving talking to someone else about these things, makes me feel less alone in my way of thinking 🙂 xo

      • Yes, I agree, it is nice to find someone who shares these views. Some people would probably look at me like I am downright crazy or chalk it up to some vivid dream but I just know what I felt. And I will not be chasing this stuff. I’m so sorry for what you went through but like you mentioned, at least you have your faith to carry you through. For me, that was the only way to escape that grasp. Take care Karen and I’m here in case you need me. ❤

  6. This is perfection! I’m going to have to do this tag next.
For future reference, Lincoln Logs are building toys shaped like logs that fit together to build things like log cabins and the like. Named so because of Abraham Lincoln. They’re an American thing.

I would also choose the bear though that’s because I’m downright terrified of bees. I will literally choose any other option over bees.
