Yes girls, Behind The Blog is finally back *woo hoo* Have you missed it? I sure have, especially considering my schedule last week was shot to pieces and half-hoopla’d (whatever that translates too) with St Paddy’s day knocking me out of sync amongst a mountain of other writing projects *dramatic eye-roll*

So today’s glamorous gal is Amina from New Beauty Addict. Make up, skin care, beauty, fun and just enjoying reading the posts J

What inspired you to start blogging?

I just recently got into reading blogs last year when I got into makeup, I’d read reviews of most products before buying them because I wanted them to be useful to me and since I just got into makeup I didn’t know much so wanted to read others take on things and then at the end of last year I thought hey why don’t I write a blog and here we are! It’s just something that’s a hobby and I like reviewing products and reading other people’s takes on things J

 .

Tell us about your blog name… what made you decide on it?

My blog’s name is newbeautyaddict it speaks for itself really 😛 I’m a new beauty addict because slowly I find myself wanting every make up and skincare item I see. Also I’m bad with coming up with names and then just decided on this and thought this was very apt to myself since I am new to the makeup world and am constantly learning new things J

 .

Do you ever suffer from Blogger’s Block & if so how do you overcome it?

Yes I do, but doesn’t every blogger/writer? I don’t like forcing myself to write posts so I have a book where I have a list of blog posts I could write and just choose which one to write about on the day J. Another thing that I do I find helps me is going out and buying new things on a whim! By doing this I can review the product without previous knowledge and seeing for myself whether this is a useful product for me or not.

What’s your favourite post to date? 

My favourite post to date is the Ten Things About Me Tag that I did, this is my favourite because it just let my readers know more about other than the fact that I love makeup. Describe your everyday clothes style:

My everyday clothes style is jeans, dresses, boots in this cold winter weather! And a cardigan is a must along with a coat!

What are your current top 3 beauty items?

1) Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation– I just LOVE this foundation, this is my first high end foundation that I bought and I can gladly say that I do not regret it one bit!

2) Loreal Slimline eyeliner – this is great for creating those flicks!

3) Benefit Hoola– I got this as part of the Christmas set of blushes and I am loving it, it’s not too dark and is great for any skin tone.

How do you like to relax & unwind after a stressful day?

I like to just get into my night clothes and get into bed with my mobile phone and just relax. I often find myself watching Eastenders (a UK soap), catching up on my YouTube videos and then just talking with my friends through WhatsApp J this just relaxes me and I love my bed!

 .

Describe your ideal Saturday night:

Ideal Saturday night is a takeaway, having the cousins and nieces over and just enjoying myself with others company along with not worrying about having to do anything

What do you do to relax?

I either listen to music or just go out with friends and this involves getting a Starbucks hazelnut hot chocolate 😛

Everyone has their bad habits, what’s yours?

Lazyness! If I have nothing scheduled for the next day I will happily stay in my bed past noon just on my phone or on the laptop 😛

What’s your most cherished childhood memory?

I don’t have any in specific so this must mean I have a lot of them! Just spending time with the family and having no worry as a kid was one key thing in all those memories.

What was your favourite school subject?

Art! I loved Art and even took it as GCSE’s, I liked my art class and just liked the feeling of being able to relax in the class and talking to friends and doing something I enjoy.

 .

What’s your dream job?

A dream job would be launching my own makeup line. This is a big dream I would just love to be able to see people using my makeup and having the feeling of accomplishing something big and making it successful.

 .

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Hopefully with a stable graduate job and doing something that I love surrounded with friends and family and just enjoying life and not taking it too seriously.

 .

What top 5 things are on your bucket list?

Going to America

Travelling the world

Seeing the new year fireworks at London

Taking a makeup course

Having the courage to travel alone to another country

What’s your biggest achievement to date?

When people ask me this question I always get stuck answering it. I do have a business degree and I could say that was my biggest achievement but to me it doesn’t seem like it, now don’t get me wrong having degree is a big thing but to me it was just something I wanted to do and I did achieve it with a high mark. I am yet to accomplish something that I am extremely proud of!

 .

Who inspires you?

No one in particular, I get inspired by things I see and qualities of people and then learn from them and see how I can adapt it to myself.
