Seven Random Things About Me:

1) I’m allergic to wine – yep, you may read me mentioning ‘a good glass of vino’ throughout a scattering of my posts occasionally, but when it comes to drinking either red or white it sends bizarre aches and pains all throughout me. Ach well…. that can only mean I’m a very affordable date right? 😉

2) I love sneezing – bit of an odd one folks but my record number of sneezes is 32 *hay-fever season* Thankfully I find it bizarrely satisfying… I know, weirdo.

3) I HATE driving at night – it doesn’t matter how many times I tell myself there’s no escaped murderer hiding in the back, my fear factor is through the roof!! *Eeeeek*

4) My biggest celebrity crush is Jon Corbett. I still insist Carrie Bradshaw had rocks in her head when she let Aidan Shaw slip through the net! *sob*

 What was Miss Bradshaw thinking?!

5) I wear make-up every day… yes, lazy Sundays in included. I just don’t feel dressed without it!

6) I love being the first one up in the mornings – I have no idea why.

7) Although I was born & raised in Northern Ireland I’ve also lived in Scotland, Wales & Southern Ireland (Eire)

  1. Congrats on your award! *Clink, clink* Oh, wait…are you allergic to all alcohol, or just wine?

I love your facts, I am an every-day make-up wearing early bird, too 🙂 but I don’t enjoy sneezing… when the sun comes out it makes me want to sneeze continuously and it’s a real pain!

    • Oooh I’ll take a few clinks – just wine huni… I can still handle a wee cocktail or too lol!
Thank you so much Amanda – yes, I love my everyday make-up and sneezing too!! 😀 Shame about the sun setting you off – that must be a nightmare 😮 Thanks for stopping by huni – have a super weekend ❤ XO

  2. Love your answers! So in this case only the best ale for you then since you can’t have wine. 😉 I don’t mind driving at night I just don’t want to hit an animal but I hate to drive when it’s rain or when it’s snowing.

    • Thank you huni – we’ll I’m not convinced on Ale but I’ll take a cocktail since your asking hehe 😉 Oh I hate driving in the dark Jen, it’s the eerieness I can’t deal with 😦 Oh, and like you I don’t do rain or snow either – I wouldn’t make a very good long distance driver eh?! lol x

      • I actually don’t do any of the long distance driving. Especially if its just me going somewhere. There are time I’ll travel up to New York City to visit my mom and I opt for for an express train ride instead. Also I hate driving over bridges. haha If you and I hung out we would be bound to very local places. 😀 Oh I’ll join in a cocktail or two or three. 😉 I love ale, but I do love me some cocktails, the sweeter the better!

      • your mum lives in NYC? How amazing!! One place I’ve always wanted to see – I’m sure it’s incredible 🙂 Is it weird I’m 32 and have never been on a train before?! That’s a good fact for a future post!!! lol Yes, I think we’d be pretty much bound to our local area – but that’s okay, good chat, giggles and plenty of ale/cocktails will keep us entertained haha 😀 Xo

      • That’s wear I grew up, right outside the city. I worked in NYC for many years. She still lives there, I don’t make it up to see her as much as I would like but she loves to take the train to visit us down in Maryland. There’s nothing wrong with staying local! 😉 lol Sounds like a wonderful time if you ask me! Not weird about the train, but maybe one day that’s something to put on your list of to do’s. 🙂

      • Wow, sounds fantastic!!! To be able to just take a train into NYC is amazing 🙂 Yep, I guess I’m gonna have to add a train journey to my bucket list Jen… maybe if I visit NYC one day I can do the two things at once eh? 😀 haha X

And I’ve never heard of someone being allergic to wine before…hmmmm interesting. And I hate sneezing but my hubby loves it!! And I am NOT a morning person. And Carrie was crazy to let him go!

  4. Congrats! I feel the same way about driving at night. In the winter time it gets dark here before I leave work and I embarrassingly admit that I do check the back of my car before I get in. I blame horror movies haha!

    • Thank you huni!!! Oh glad I’m not the only one who checks the back of the car lol I think you’re right… too many scary movies and a wild imagination I guess haha 😀 Thanks for stopping by Jamie, have a super weekend ❤ X

  7. Congrats Karen! And thank you for the nomination!! A study indicated that most people allergic to wine don’t even know it, and women are twice as likely to be! It was just one study, so I took the findings with a grain of salt, but I was shocked! I love red wine, but I noticed I can be intolerant to some types of wines, so when I researched about it, it’s something with grape skin!

    • Thank you so much lovely and you’re very welcome!!! 🙂 Wow, really? This is the first time I’ve ever had it potentially explained!! Yep I knew I was allergic from the first sip when I was about 13 (don’t worry I wasn’t an under-age drinker I just asked my mum if I could have a teeny sip from her glass to try lol) I remember the burning sensation coursing through me was intense and my bones ached like you wouldn’t believe. I’ve tried a few different varieties in both red and white throughout later years but with the same outcome. Very interesting though – I should read more about it Romy, I had no idea as to those findings – really interesting!!! Thanks for informing me, I’m intrigued to know more now 🙂 XXXX

  8. Congrats to you! ❤ And thanks so much for the nomination, too! I'll get to the post at some point next week.
I love your facts. I'm also in love with being the first one up. Mostly because I'm also a fan of surprising my fiancee with a fancy breakfast right when she wakes up. At least for a while, the dog is the first one up shortly followed by me.

    • He Dannie – you’re so welcome lovely!!! Honestly no pressure/ no rush, just if and when you want to do it 🙂
Why thank you so much for the kind compliment – I’m glad you enjoyed the facts! They were bizarrely hard to think off – I’m clearly not much of an exciting person lol You love being first up too? Gee not many of us out there huni 😀 haha Awwwh that’s so lovely that you bring your fiancee brekkie in bed… she must be so chuffed when you do that!! Maybe I should do that with my hubby every now and again – earn some brownie points right?! haha Oh of course – our 4 legged friends are always eager to get up and follow us around. Toby our beagle is quite the same – never misses a trick lol Have a super weekend lovely 🙂 X
