Behind The Blog… featuring Niamh from Little Miss Me Xo

Hello lovelies,

I hope you’re all keeping well?! It’s been a blustery few days here in Northern Ireland with our crazy winter weather… so much so that I’ve had to dig out my reserve thermals and woolley winter gear just to nip to the local corner shop! *Brrrr* Could someone send a little sunshine over please?! Talking of Ireland, today I have a rather exciting post as I present a gorgeous blogger that little bit closer to home than a few of my last lovely guests…  meet Niamh from Little Miss Me Xo, a fellow Irish beauty blogger with a passion for fashion and mad-love for make-up!

I’ve followed Niamh’s blog for quite a while now and must admit I’m a huge fan of her posts… if you love a mixture of lifestyle, sassy threads & must have products then you’ll adore it just as much as I do. Beauty, Fashion & All Things Fabulous

 

What inspired you to start blogging?

I had been following a lot of other Fashion & Beauty blogs and I decided why not start my own as I’ve always loved using the computer and being creative! I also have a real passion for Fashion and Beauty and wanted to share my opinions with others.

 

Tell us about your blog name… what made you decide on it?

My Blog name Littlemissmexo was something that just came to me one day. It always makes me think of the Mr men books which I used to love when I was younger! Maybe that’s where the idea came from but honestly I just thought of it one day and have loved it ever since!

 

Do you ever suffer from Blogger’s Block & if so how do you overcome it?

I always suffer from bloggers block! I have got myself a little diary where I write in my different Ideas as they come to me so then any day I am looking for something to inspire me I take a peak at the book and write about what ever one Inspires me on that day. Some days I just don’t post if I have bloggers block as I would very easily blab on about nothing!

 

What’s your favourite post to date? 

My favourite post to date is probably my InThe Frow depop post. InTheFrow is one of the blogs which really inspired me to start my own and this playsuit I bought from the lovely creater of InTheFrow, Victoria, is one of my favourtie outfits! http://littlemissmexo.com/2014/11/25/inthefrow-depop/

 

Describe your everyday clothes style:

My style is very casual. My everyday outfit would consist of Jeans or leggins, Ankle boots, Leather jacket and whatever top I feel like wearing on that day.

What are your current top 3 beauty items?

My current top 3 beauty items would have to be

1. Estee Lauder double wear foundation- This foundation is my life saver and has a great full coverage!
2. Elemis Maximum Moisture Day Cream – This is a fab moisturiser and smells absolutely amazing! Definitely one of my must haves
3. Benefit High Beam- This is a new favourite of mine which gives a lovely shimmery highlighted effect.

 

How do you like to relax & unwind after a stressful day?

I love getting baths with bath bombs! I also love to read through other peoples lovely blog posts sitting in front of the warm fire.

 

Describe your ideal Saturday night:

My Ideal Saturday night is putting my feet up with a lovely dinner and some Booja Booja chocolates! Yum! I normally work Saturdays and Sundays so there is nothing better than relaxing after a long day.

Everyone has their bad habits, what’s yours?

My bad habit is ordering clothes online! I am so bad, I order something new way too often but is just too tempting.

What was your favourite school subject?

My favourite school subject was probably music. It was the only class where we got to relax and express ourselves

 

What’s your dream job?

My dream job at the moment is to become a beautician but I would also love to have a job which involved blogging! wouldn’t that be great?

 

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I see myself living in a place of my own, Having a job I love and being happy!

 

What top 5 things are on your bucket list?

1. Have a family of my own
2. Have a walk in wardrobe! ( A girl can never have too many clothes! )
3. Have my own clothing line
4. Go shopping in London
5. Have my own beauty range

Everyone always says Dream Big!

What’s your biggest achievement to date?

Getting 100 followers on Littlemissmexo.com! I never expected to reach 100 followers on my blog in just over 3 months. Thank you so much to everyone who reads my blog and I am so thankful to everyone who gives me a moment of there time. Every blogger I have come in to contact with so far has been so lovely and I am so glad that I decided to start a blog! 100 followers may not seem like a lot to some people but it is a huge achievement to me! 🙂

 

Who inspires you?

All the amazing Fashion & Beauty bloggers out there whether they are very successful or just starting out everyone is so wonderful and unique in there own way. 🙂

 

Do you have a favourite inspirational quote?

“Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind”- DR Seuss

 

What top tips would you give to someone who is thinking of starting their own blog?

I would say don’t hold back. I am a very shy person and used to think my opinion didn’t matter, but it does! If you’re writing about different things that you love then blogging will be something that helps you grow as a person. My top tip is always be honest!
