The Versatile Blogger Award *woo hoo*

versitle-blogger-bw

Hello Lovelies!

I hope you’re all enjoying the new year so far and aren’t entirely partied out? It’s certainly been a fun one for me as I rang the bells in with my nearest and dearest (aka the clan) which I have to say was a huge amount of fun! I also discovered my new found skill for Charades… trying to convey the film ‘Taken’ was a rather giggle inducing challenge, needless to say us girls won with full points whilst the boys moaned and demanded a re-count *rolls eyes*

Anyways,  I’d never had guessed my first post of 2015 would be an award, and what a mighty one I’ve been bestowed with. A huuuuuge big thank you to the lovely:

…for the nomination of The Versatile Blogger Award, much appreciated ladies!

So the rules for this award are –

  1. Show the award on your blog
  2. Thank the person who nominated you.
  3. Share 7 facts about yourself.
  4. Nominate 15 blogs.
  5. Link your nominee’s blogs and let them know

My Seven *bizarre-ish* Facts:

1) Even though I use them daily I’ll always remain terrified of eyelash curlers. That first clamp is sweat inducing, especially as I have THEE most pathetic pain threshold imaginable… the thought of an eyelid nip is almost too much for my nervous system. *ouch*

2) My all time celebrity crush is John Corbett aka Aidan Shaw from SATC *swoon*

3) I detest red wine, celery & sushi – I just can’t.

4) I absolutely cannot sleep without folding my pillow otherwise I feel like I’m slowly suffocating… can you tell I’m a panicker yet?! *rolls eyes*

5) I once wore two completely different shoes to work. You can imagine the mortification when a friend pointed out my ‘fashion faux pas’ during our lunch break… of course I had to walk through a bustling town centre and face a ridiculously busy bus journey home before I could hibernate in my room with embarrassment.

6) I adore solitary grocery shopping.

7) My dream job would be to work as an embalmer. Yes, an embalmer.

So there you have it, my rather random facts – all that’s left to do is nominate my 15 beautiful bloggers… however firstly, my apologies if you’ve been nominated before and I should mention there’s absolutely no pressure to accept either 🙂

  1. Thank you again for thinking of me and for the nomination! It’s greatly appreciated! Wow so you want to be an embalmer? Is there a special reason why? Just curious lol. I would think it would be more fun to put makeup on the deceased…I’m weird haha. 😀 xo

    • You are so welcome Katie!! I know it’s a verrrry bizarre dream job and some people get really freaked out at the thought of it!! I suppose I can’t blame them, it’s just not for everyone eh? lol Well, over here the embalmers actually put the make-up on, they do the whole thing from start to finish. Is it a make-up artists job in the USA? Sounds really interesting! I will say you’s have a much better system over there than we have here in my opinion. Even your funeral homes are incredible looking – well, from what I’m seeing in the movies anyways lol I just think it would be such an interesting and calming job… shame there’s just no work available in that field over here or I’d be doing it already 🙂 Xo

  2. Thanks so much for the nomination!! You’re a doll 🙂 These are some truly fascinating facts, by the way. The two different shoes cracks me up!!! And is there a story behind #7? Or do you just think it would be a really cool job?

    • So welcome lovely!!! Why thank you – yes, the shoes always seem to ignite a grin, it was a truly embarrassing moment *sigh*
No, no story behind #7 – literally just a job I seem to think would be incredibly interesting and somehow very calming! However my dad wasn’t as eager when I told him before leaving high school… I’ve never seen him look so confused! lol 16 years later and it’s still something I would love to do. I don’t know, maybe I wouldn’t like it at all but it’s definitely something I’d love to try 😀 Xo

  3. Thank you so much for the nomination, Karen! 😀 I will certainly complete it soon. 🙂
Eyelash curlers are terrifying but they are magical as well. 😀
Hahaha oh dear, I have managed a few times to go somewhere with two different socks but never two different shoes. That is quite the story to be able to tell and have a good laugh at after. 😀 xx

  4. Nooo red wine and sushi are too good (not together). That’s alright Karen, more for me right? 😉 I also love grocery shopping on my own, it’s just so relaxing. I stopped mentioning I’m going to the market to my roommates for fear of them wanting to tag along. Thank you so much for the nomination! I’ve been busy with blog updates, but I’m going to come around to this asap. Talk to you soon!
