In only 5 words describe what readers can expect from your blog:

Beauty, style and inspiration.

What inspired you to start blogging?

I started thinking about my love for writing, style and beauty which led to the idea of starting my own blog. I have been thinking of starting my own blog for ages and finally decided to sit down, start one and commit to it. I had a blog before with my husband (more of a lifestyle blog) and realized that’s not really the type of blog that I want to have. One of my main reasons for starting a blog was to share my experiences with my readers, hoping that I could somehow help them and inspire them.

Blogging is more than just a hobby for me, it is the perfect way to combine my love for writing, creativity and all things beautiful while living out my passion.

Do you ever suffer from Blogger’s Block & if so how do you overcome it?

So far I have been lucky to not suffer from blogger’s block. I do get my days that even if I know what I want to write, I just don’t feel like writing. I am sure Blogger’s Block will get me somewhere in the future!

What’s your favourite post to date?

It would be my Blue Ombre Manicure that I did. I had so much fun creating this look, and even though it was the first time that I tried it, it came out great!

Describe your everyday style:

My everyday style is more laid back and casual. I prefer to wear clothes that I feel comfy in, rather than dressing up too much and being uncomfortable. I prefer jeans, t-shirts and dresses that I can dress up and wear in a stylish way, but my style is most definitely more laid back than dressed up.

What are your current top 3 beauty items?
I cannot go without my nude lipstick, my liquid eyeliner and mascara at the moment

How do you like to relax & unwind after a stressful day?
The best way to unwind after a stressful day is to have a good exercise session, take a nice relaxing shower, wash my hair and just lounge around for the night.

Describe your ideal Saturday night:

After a busy week my ideal Saturday night would be relaxing with my husband and daughter. We spend the evening together watching movies or series and just relaxing together as a family.

What’s your favourite junk food snack?
It would have to be Lays Salt and Vinegar Chips!

Everyone has their hidden bad habits, what’s yours?
According to my husband I don’t always pay attention or my attention drifts off somewhere in the middle of the conversation.

What’s your most cherished childhood memory?
Christmas time with my family. We used to get together at my grandparents’ house and my grandfather would play Father Christmas for us. It would be such a lovely evening filled with love, laughter and family. I wish I could have that one more time.

What was your favourite school subject?
I used to love English. It was not my first language, but I really enjoyed it.

What’s your dream job?
I would love to be able to have my own T-shirt line with my illustrations on. I am currently busy getting that up and running, but that would be my dream job.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I hope to have my T-shirt line up and running successfully and I hope that Bobs & Rouge will be doing great.

What top 5 things are on your bucket list?
I would love to go on a cruise ship
See all the beautiful places in Cape Town
I would love to visit the US and UK

That is honestly all I can think of that is on my bucket list.

What’s your biggest achievement to date?
Starting my own business and successfully running it for 3 years this year. I had to start over in a new town and I managed to do that.

Who inspires you?

That would be my mom. She has been through so much and she always comes out at top, she is always positive and she is just overall such an amazing woman.

Do you have a favourite inspirational quote?

“You were born an original, don’t be a copy”

Name 3 things that’s top of your Christmas list:
To be able to visit my family this year for Christmas
A subscription to my favourite magazine: Ideas
A few new nail polishes (I can never have enough)

What top tips would you give to someone who is thinking of starting their own blog?
Don’t compare yourself to others. There is more than enough space for all bloggers, so focus on what you want to do, what you want to achieve and what you love. Also write from your heart and make sure it is about what you love, you don’t want to sound fake or forced.
